Its unbelievable this injustice, they should him treat at least like everyone else. Nothing before disqualification, nothing.

That’s precisely what they did: they treated him like everyone else who has hit someone with a ball (Henman, Shapovalov) or other injurious behavior (Nalbandian). The reason others haven’t been defaulted is obvious: they haven’t done this.

They treat him like a murderer.

A murderer? Really?

I don't co-sign the article, although I did find the woman's reaction strange. I posted it because it struck me as wrong to only post view points I agree with on a subjct

Strange how? Clearly you co-sign it in some way. So what’s the similarity in feds and djokers action? You are trying to imply something pretty low, confusing the focus. Fact that you even go into comparing Fed to Djokers action is ugly, motivation wise. You know full well Fed flicked Haas return to pass to ball boy, nothing to do with frustration.....and he always does that, in fact Haas was the one throwing his racquet. I will call you out on this.

On Tv they said that Djokovic is now the member of a new Big 3, the male players who have been disqualified from a slam: McEnroe, Henman & Djokovic. :face-with-hand-over-mouth:

Hahaha, injustice would be, Henmen, Shapo etc got booted and they let Djoker play on. Can’t see this even being an argument, except for the moral-less diehards.

lol! I get you want to fight with someone mate. Have at it for all I care. Pick someone else though.

The article has a view on the controversy. A view I don't agree with. Like you, Roger's thing was a pass to the ball boy and it was taken in that spirit. No controversy there. But as I've said I did find the reaction of the woman slightly unnatural. Was she hit? Absolutely! Was the punishment for Novak justified? Absolutely! Was her reaction as it should have been given the pace of the shot? Not to me. Just being honest

So how is her reaction not genuine? Now that you are accusing. Been hit by a ball on a weak spot ( nose, eye, throat ) ? Tell us how it was not a genuine reaction.

That article clearly tried to muddle the water by referring to Roger passing the ball. Beyond doubt trying to get Djoker off the hook, and lay blame on the woman (her reactions) and Fed. Somehow you join that nasty stance....questioning the woman’s reaction. Well done.

just my viewpoint mate. But still... nice to see you sticking up for women :face-with-tears-of-joy:

Anyway I've spent entirely too much time talking tennis over the last 24hrs. Shows you the magnitude of the events that occurred. I'm going back in my box now... ;)

Man, I return to this board for some tennis discussion and instead ridiculous back and forth and really crappy attitudes. What Djokovic did was terrible, but it was not his intention to harm her. He received the appropriate punishment, and he could quite possibly receive more. Hopefully, he learns from this and does better.

Yeah right after blaming the victim....
And what’s gender got to do with it? Think I’d say anything diff if it was a man? Think I would stoop so low to call that man an actor?
Spotted it miles away, ‘mate’

And anyone thinks Djoker would have just won the tournament if it wasn’t for this, I say bullshit....Thiem showed at AO he clearly has the game to beat him (not the head that time).

I know this is hard for you. But reality has to set in at some point and you have to accept it. No amount of whining on your part is going to change the already determined outcome. What's baffling to me is I have not seen you even once place the blame where it belongs. Your champion did this thing. You should be angry and disappointed at him for blowing a monumental chance to win a slam title and get closer to Fedal. Stop blaming others for something that was totally in his control.
I know you all have the same different look at this and many other things, its understandable because all of you fall from the same tree.

To end this worthless time wasting, i will not answer your "truths" Kate.
Last thing i want is to make you uncomfortable on your thrones.

Thank you.

Here's the incident that @Bonaca is citing as the one where someone else did it and didn't get defaulted. Perhaps if Novak had just tagged the woman on the hand lightly things would have ended differently?

If Djoker got off it, I bet anyone doing anything in future would try....saying ‘Novak hit someone in the throat and I just....’ you know the rest.

no they didnt, the cameraman at the masters tournament was also hit by the ball, not the same result. Point is there is no clear rule and room for different reactions.
