Tennis CC about to telecast a classic match': 2016 Mercedes Cup w/ Roger Federer in the 2nd round against Taylor Fritz! I hadn't realized he's been around so long! Seems like yesterday he was 20, married, w/ a kid! He's now 25 & seems to be born old in some ways! :fearful-face:  :face-with-hand-over-mouth:

That would be the Jim Courier/Patrick Rafter/Gustavo Khuerten level, no ? Though winning 7-10 Masters used to be almost tougher, but with these 12 day Masters schedules things may change.

However IMO there isn't until now strong enough indicators Sinner will reach even that level, he's on an overall upward trajectory but its that last quantum leap to Slam glory that flummoxes so many.
What will help Sinner and younger players is that there is no Big 3 or Big 4 to hinder them from consistently winning slams. Yes, Alcaraz is a great player, but at the same time he is only one player. So for any young player that is upcoming, he has an opportunity to win 1-3 slams in the future. Now, they still have to take the take the opportunity when it presents itself

Well this is classless New Yk.! Anything's possible w/ these people! Zverev had to deal w/ Nazi BS! A guy was tossed out of the stadium! :astonished-face: :fearful-face:
Did you neglect to notice that Don Fabio said they were Serbian fans speaking Serbian? They may have even come in for the tournament. Likewise, who is to say the person who made some "Nazi" comment was a New Yorker? But go on...don't let any lack of information or truth keep from from an opportunity to slag New York.

As to the Nazi comment made by one of the fans, who was a male by the way, sitting next to his wife/girlfriend, and escorted by security, that was all I heard, no mention if the man who made the comment was from New York.

It's an ugly thing to have happened, for sure, and they rightly threw the guy out. Who knows what the guy was on about, but it was a bizarre choice of harassment.

Agree, it was a bizarre choice of harassment, sad it happened at a tennis match.

El tenista alemán paró el partido y se acercó al juez de línea para expresarle su molestia. Poco después, guardias de seguridad le pidieron al responsable que se retirara del estadio

The German tennis player halted play and approached the chair to voice his complaint. Shortly after that the security guards requested from the responsible party to exit the stadium.

ETA:
Grito nazi en pleno partido del US Open indignó a Zverev: “Dijo la frase más famosa de Hitler, es inaceptable”.

Shouted out "Nazi" during the match at the USO which upset Zvevrev: "Called out the most known/famous phrase from Hitler, that is unacceptable".

Thanks. I don’t completely trust auto-translations, plus a real person can bring more nuance.

One thing I love Shelton right now is that when he hits a FHDTL or an aggressive FH shot he immediately moves forward to the net. He understands that he can hit it huge, but he will still be aggressive by going to the net.
