I think we can put "men's fashion" in quotation marks, but Anna Wintour sits in Roger's box. She could give him a few tips. Seriously, my dad had pajamas in that color and same piping. That kit didn't say so much "power," as it said "good-night, aged P."

:lol6: The worst thing was - he kept putting on different color shirts with those red shorts. So they went from nighttime PJs to lounging PJs. All I could think was - bring back the blazer and belt, Roger!

Maybe Mastoor needs a reminder that Roger is the only tennis player to NEVER retire from a match in his entire career. He's not a tanker either. He's not going to get to 37 and start tanking matches and ruin his legacy.
Or maybe we could ask him who Novak was avoiding in all of those matches that he retired from? And there are a lot of them.

He didn't look himself, but stop trying to make it all about Novak. He didn't choke today. He just played really poorly.

No no, he did choke and I am sure the reason is that one I said.

The only good news for nadal, is that he will keep his number one ranking at the end of the event, which means nadal continue to edge up to 200 weeks.:yesyes:

Why don't you tell me why Federer choked instead of repeating that I was wrong without giving me a single valid explanation why Federer was nothing but sitting duck in the fourth set tiebreak?

Well, there's no telling you, I guess. So why did Novak bail so many times out of matches?

Federer didn't choke. He played poorly. There's a difference.

Great win for Millman. I am sorry for the Fed fans. I know it hurts. P-Mac calling it one of the biggest upsets in tennis history. Now, that does seem an exaggeration, no?
Peter Doohan upset win vs Boris Becker at Wimbledon still is.

its a fine line especially with Roger. He's squandered a number of leads like this especially whn you compare it to Nadal or Djokovic. But i still give credit to Millman. The aussies are coming back.

I have no idea what are you asking me. Novak has never bailed out of any matches.

When a player doesn't look like himself in match he loses and is not stating health problem like it was the case with Federer in this match, he choked.

now ciao, I must "bail out" ;)

Did Djokovic stink the place out against Chung at the AO so he didn't have to face Federer? Sometimes these guys just have a plain bad day at the office.
Ok but he lost to John Fricking Millman. This is worse than Starkovsky at Wimby for many reasons.

Great way to deal with an argument you're losing. Djokovic has never bailed out of a match? He's the greatest "retirer" of all elite players. How about 2011 Cincy final? I could go on.

Is it really?? He lost to Starkovsky at a really early round at W, which is his best Major, and he was much younger. I don't get your math.

I had no expectations of Fed getting far in this tournament, especially after seeing the draw. It is painful to have him lose in this fashion nonetheless. At this moment, I’m wondering what would be the most appropriate way for him to retire. I doubt he wants to play matches like that again. We fans certainly don’t want to suffer watching him.

Federer most likely will continue until the next olympic games, so we still have two and bit seasons to see him play.

Yes I don’t think he’s retiring anytime soon. All those sponsorships rely on playing visibility.

The question *may* turn out to be: will Federed be content to play for a few more years, lingering in the top 20 if he doesn’t have a legit shot to actually win Majors?

Federer tanked just like he did in 2013 against Robredo. Everyone knows why. Sad.

No doubt Fed had no business losing to Starkovsky either. However, it was on grass and against a player who has a better record than Millman all around and on grass specifically. Grass is an unpredictable surface also because it only gets played on for a few weeks a year.

Put differently: the loss against Starkovsky could much more easily be explained as a freak loss, an incident. There is simply no proper justification for today's loss other than Fed reaching retirement age.

Nobody cares about the Olympics in tennis. He will retire when he thinks he needs to. I think today was a good indication that he might need to sooner than later.

Nice try but Nadal, Djokovic, Federer and Murray have all said that it’s equal to the slams.
