I thought someone had mentioned Dr Who on a thread in the past.. I just watchedc a marathron of the series from 2007-2010.. i jst fell in love with Martha..

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1303956/

It's a shame she was only with the Doctor for one season. I liked her, too. Much better than Rose.

Tented, I read on IMDB that she was on the show from 2007-2010.. but only 20 episodes

Freema Agyeman.

She is absolutely perfectly gorgous.. You should see the episode(the Shakespeare Code) when Martha and the Doctor meet William Shakespeare.. He was totally :eyepop over her.

I think I've asked before but does anyone watch the Cinemax series Banshee?

As expected given that the show's on Cinemax it pushes the envelope a bit. It's a man's show to say the least but it has enough substance that it is legitimately a good show that just happens to be wildly entertaining.

Anyone watch the FX show Fargo?

For non movie channel shows (HBO, Showtime, Cinemax, Starz) it is probably the best season of anything I've seen. It was really excellent start to finish. Billy Bob Thornton and Martin Freeman (the guy who plays Watson and Bilbo Baggins) are the main characters. Highly recommended.

Fargo is on Netflix now, so I think I'll give it a spin. Watching The Good Wife again, season 5, a good show, a bit formulaic, but great acting and cast, good stories.

Better Call Saul, the prequel to Breaking Bad, began today as well. I could actually watch this because I don't have to have seen BB...

Wow, kind of blows that it is finally on netflix, I spent $20 on the 10 episodes to watch on Amazon Prime. Oh well, great show that is worth $20 to watch but $0 is a better price!

It helps to have seen Breaking Bad first but is not absolutely necessary. The first episode was pretty slow but ended great. The second one last night was OK, kind of drawn out in some ways but it's putting the pieces in place.

Just watched the season three finale last night, and am ready for next year.

In the last three episodes, I would say they burned the damn envelope! It's a show where the premise is completely unbelievable, the characters have little that would make you warm to them, but they are still able to get you to buy in.

Anthony Starr is a solid performer. Hoon Lee pretty much steals the show.

Probably my favorite scene of all was in last year's finale when they were facing Rabbit's men and brother in the church. Outnumbered and out of ammo, Lucas Hood stands up to take them all on. What happened next was... incredible.

Yeah I thought the season 3 finale was just terrific even though it was still way over the top and unrealistic. It really sets up great for season 4. The show is just wildly entertaining for the most part and it is almost like Game of Thrones where most of the characters sure as hell are not "nice" but they are not pure evil either. I actually wish the writing wasn't so crazy, it'd still be great if you actually had semi-realistic things happening. I liked the first 2 seasons better but this last episode of season 3 was one of the best of the series.

Anybody here see Rake, the Australian one, not the US remake?

Exceptional drama, with a lot of comedy in it too, great characters. Got us hooked, watched the whole lot in about two days.

Currently on a Mad Men catch-up cos they bring that series home now, in its final run of episodes. hadn't watched it in a while, started back again on series 3 to get a good run at it. Still the most superior show I've seen, pure class all the way through, like watching great literature...

Last year, I caught AMC's last couple episodes of Turn about spies during the revolutionary war. Overall, I've really enjoyed it. Last night season 2 began with a two hour show.

The missus is away, so I've kinda block-watched Daredevil on Netflix. It was a bit slow to start with, and in each episode there's chunks of dialogue and stuff you could skip, but it's quite good, in a no-brain kinda way. Daredevil is blind, as you know, and he treats his action stuff kinda the way Batman does, which is dark and terrifying for baddies.

This show is excessively violent, unnecessarily so for a comic flick, but you can look away, if you're fast enough. Some of the characters (Foggy, in particular) are TV staples in the way they act and speak, so that's a bit phoney and off, but the head honcho bad guy is well played by Vincent D'Onofrio. And whoever he is playing daredevil is good, too.

Oh yeah, and did I mention that Rosario Dawson is in it? :basiate

^ I really enjoyed Daredevil. Great action and a well-built plot. I hear you about the cliche characters that you often see in these comic book films/shows but it doesn't take much away, just doesn't really add anything to them. I binge-watched it in a few nights. Looking forward to see how it progresses (I don't read any comic book stuff so I don't know the story). Rosario Dawson and Deborah Ann Woll provide some good eye candy.

^ I'm on ep 9 now. Another good thing about it is the fabulous opening credits and theme tune. Netflix have made at least 3 top shows so far, that I've seen: House of Cards, Marco Polo, and this.

Did you watch Marco Polo?

Yes, I saw Marco Polo, it was very good. Episode 9 was the best of the Daredevil season...enjoy

Did you see season 3 of HOC yet? Definitely the worst of the 3 seasons but still very good IMO.
