say that to Boris in person and you might re-enter the hospital

Gotta give Becker some credit though. Djoker was NOT doing well when Boris joined him, and you can't just ignore the difference since then. I don't buy that the guy just got lucky, he is after all a champ and got champion's mind. Edberg, Lendl and Chang all did well with their players and it's no coincidence, i don't buy the notion of a 'fluke', your dislike of him is too obvious.

but Lendl is no magic pill, just a week of coaching and we are talking Andy winning Wimbledon? seriously?

Andy is the next heavy favorite after Djokovic.

He just needs to have everything go his way.

I say Andy's chances are improved with this grass title he just pocketed.

He has five QC titles and one Wimbo. The last two years he won QC and never made it to the finals.

He is moving in the right direction.

He did well on clay. I take that as one of my key indicators.

Djokovic is the heavy favorite obviously but Andy should be ready this time to capitalize on his opportunity should Djokovic falter or gets derailed.

Andy better get cracking.

I am not seeing any dramatic change in that serve.

some of the women on the tour serve better.

Andy could meet Richie again in quarter (like in RG) then maybe Stanimal in semi, let's see how he deals with it

To me looks like the second serve is a bit better so he's going for more on the first but not making it.

grass is his best chance to best djokovic.

he just has to find a way to get it done. that serve has to be cooking.

I agree. All depends what form Djokovic is in. He is a far better player now than in 2013 and more confident on grass. If he is at his best he can do it. Anderson is not what he was last year and I like Raonic but think Novak can handle him especially on grass. I'm also wondering how the courts will play. Not sure where you are but the rain here has been torrential and is sure to have affected the court prep.

sooner or later Andy will find a way despite his limitations with his forehand wing.

Djokovic is 10 times better than he has ever been. you just have to catch him on an off day.

and you need the first 2 sets.

and he'll win !!!

lets hope so. actually truth be told, RG provided Andy with one hell of an opportunity but it was not meant to be. it was not in the stars.

now the next best opportunity is grass for Andy. Andy seems quite comfortable on grass.

he just has to find a way. I know he flies with just one wing so it is difficult.

it is difficult to dominate without a dominating, lethal forehand. he has to relish the challenge and make it happen anyway.

Don't forget that I have Andy in the final.

His chances obviously skyrocket if Sam can derail Djokovic today.

Federer finally looks like he is moving better. Serve is excellent. Return looks sharper, but some of that may be due to opponent. Ground strokes slowly improving with some strong forehands from time to time. Still not sure he has enough matches in him to win the whole thing, but if his form keeps improving, and he suffers no physical setbacks, he can obviously be dangerous.

Del Potro is looking better. Still isn't hitting the two hander as often, but his slice works well on grass.
And he is hitting his forehand stronger than anyone in the tournament when he gets a chance.
If Murray had the Del Potro forehand, I think he would be difficult to beat.

If Djokovic loses to Querrey, this tournament is wide open.
Kyrgios might have a sniff if he can keep his head on close to straight.
Murray - Kyrgios would be interesting if they both make it.

I thought Vesely looked very good against Thiem.

We will have a good idea what's happening by the QF....

Respectfully,
masterclass

roger is most definitely gaining traction with each passing day.

I caught some of his match today.

his fitness is a thing of beauty. I am just worried about the back. the back is the x factor.

I don't think Nole"ll lose today but he didn't play well yesterday for sure, Andy can beat him in final if the Serbinator plays like yesterday

resurgence of andy murray continues:

you have to be ready to capitalize on your opportunities. you cant do that if you are just farting around from one vacation to the next.

he had a great clay season and then he landed lendl.

and now a window opens up for Andy.

I told you long ago what was transpiring but some of you just would not put much stock in the Andy Murray situation.

the trend was clear for all to see.

now he stands to capture his 2nd Wimbledon crown.
