Berdych's loss secures the #5 for Nadal.  It's not so much...or so little, but it's a move back towards #4, which will make the rest of the comeback  more plausible in 2016.

Kei finishes the year ranked 8, after last year being 6. he had a solid year altogether, just without the highlights like in 2014, when he was in a slam and one master final.

So much potential, but his body won't let him do it. I hope 2014 wasn't his peak. But his body is only going to break down more often as he gets older.

It is possible. For that to happen, ALL of the following items, 1,2 and 3 must happen.

1. Roger should win WTF outright.
2. Andy should lose to Wawrinka on Friday (and thus get eliminated from WTF) AND
3. Andy should lose at least one singles live rubber
or
Andy should play only one singles live rubber (if UK wins first 3 rubbers this will happen)
or
Andy can win both live singles rubber, but UK must lose.

However things pan out here and next week with DC, Roger will likely get the number 2 ranking back in January as I can't see him doing as badly as last year at the AO. 3rd round loss for Roger means potential for a lot of points gain, whereas Andy is defending finalist points. In fact Andy could take a nosedive if he doesn't do well.
