Jo-Willie is back in the top ten, he'll be at #7 tomorrow. What a great year he's having so far - two titles. Kind of surprising, maybe a slight renaissance?

his baby's birth is due around march 30, he could miss IW and Miami, that's probably why he played European's indoor tour with the great success we know. happy for him, maybe the baby's perspective helped him to relax and play his best tennis ??

I noticed yesterday that Roger was in danger of dropping back to 11 if Monfils had won today, but Verdasco saved him. Rafa has a chance to get within touching distance of 5 and 4, on the other hand, especially given that Nishikori and Raonic are playing a bit hurt, atm.

No, I mean Roger. Rafa played a pretty full schedule last year aside from missing Wimbledon. He figures to gain a lot of points at RG for sure but who knows about the other places. Roger gained points just by losing to a nobody in the 2nd round of Dubai, that's what happens when you miss practically the whole season.

Good points. I don't keep tabs on Roger, so, yes, he has a lot of ground to make up. We'll see.

In fact I was rooting for Federer to stay out of the top 8. The way his playing (and, yes, I saw the full match against Donskoy) he can beat anyone on IW and the sooner he gets the top guys, the better.

It's a sad indicator of the lowering of the general IQ, as well as the level of discourse, that many people don't even understand what "political correctness" means or intends. Now that it's currently fashionable to be "anti-PC," some take that as freedom to spew bile and use actual hate speech. That's not being "cool" or "anti-PC," it's just ugliness, and you can't dress that up.
