Berankis is an interesting name to see. He was the highest ranked player under 21 in 2010, at #87. So many players of his generation stalled out and never really went up all that much.

Dzumhur seems to be inching forward, but so slowly. Maybe top 40, but I don't see much more than that.

I remember Pouille's name from a year or two ago. He rose pretty steadily after going pro in 2012 at 18 years old but didn't make the top 200 until he was 19y8m, and then he stagnated for almost a year, before rising, and finally made the top 100 at age 21y2m. He hung out in the 60s-90s range until about a month ago before he made "his move."

He's currently 22y3m and ranked #31, but #16 in the Race to London rankings, and among under-25 year olds, he's #5 in the Race, behind only Thiem, Kyrgios, Tomic, and Sock.

I personally see him as a future top 20 type, who might sneak into the top 10 on occasion - maybe like a David Goffin type, or a bit better.

Just saw the live rankings, and Ferrer is back at #10. If he wins his next round, he passes Raonic, and if he wins the tournament, he'll take Berdy's slot at #8. Holding off the rapid fall for now. ;)

For all practical purposes, Roger will not get #2 seed at Wimby given that he has dropped out of RG. If you want to be technical about it, Roger will be mathematically eliminated from getting a possible #2 seed at Wimby, if Andy reaches SF at RG. See details in the last post of the previous page on this thread.

Being LL in Rome was beneficial in $$$ and points! What a lucky guy! Who dropped out; Ferrer? Should send him something nice! :snicker :laydownlaughing :p

What about the Wimbledon previous history seeding and present grass court ranking.. Roger may still be seeded #2. Correct?

I think his calculations has already taken that into account. If Andy reaches Semi or better in RG, the point deficit is too much that additional points from previous history and grass court rankings will not be enough for Roger to get #2 seed over Andy.

It looks like Zverev will be seeded for Wimbledon. Just by making the semi's at Nice he is 28 in the live rankings, and it looks like he is about to move onto the final. Sadly, it's too late to be seeded for Roland Garros. It would be shocking if he is not in the top 20 by the end of the season.

Oops, I was looking at the Live Race... No go. He still has a decent chance at being seeded at Wimby.

Even with his Final ion Nice, Zverev still does not make it into the top 40 (currently 41).
