Meaning, there's a good chance that at the end of Roland Garros and when the rankings are updated next Monday, we'll have a new top 10 player.
It isn't guaranteed, because David Ferrer is also shooting for a top 10 spot and he's just 5 pts behind Thiem, but there's also a scenario where BOTH make the top 10: if they both win R16, at least one wins QF, and both Ferrer and Berdych lose tomorrow. Then Thiem and Goffin are guaranteed a spot in the top 10 (this assuming that Bautista Agut doesn't upset Novak and go on a run into the top 10).
The times they are a changin'...maybe/almost.
Just tell me what needs to happen for Milos to get out of top 8.lease:

Whoever goes on to the SF will also pass Raonic, probably Berdych (assuming he loses to Novak), and Gasquet if he doesn't beat Murray.
The point being, we have at least one new top 10 player, maybe two if Thiem wins tomorrow.

Milos needs to be in the top 8 going into Wimby. It is happening. :devil

I am pleased to report that Milos has been relegated to #9. However, the margins are really small from #7 through #14 and so it may be premature to celebrate. Also, given the possibility of Rafa withdrawing from Wimby, Milos need to be relegated to #10 to be on the safe side.

If a player is not in top 56 of this list, they cannot get a direct entry into the Olympics. For example, this would prevent Lukas Rosol, Belluci etc from taking part in Olympics.
