#6 is Mr. Big? I still haven't got the Michael Jackson song, but at this point it's just a matter of diligence. (Burn This Disco Out?) Give me a clue for #2 and #3. I know I know those.

Of course it's 'Burn this Disco Out'. Great song it was that could've made a great single 45rpm way back when.
Well done again -

#2 is a classic Bob Dylan song recorded by another famous songwriter in 1974.
#3 She was one of the best Rock music singers of the early '80's because she loved Rock n Roll so much, lol...

I knew you were going to say #2 was a Dylan song. I'm bad on the 80s, but that is a good clue and I'm sure I can get there almost without thinking about it.

Yeah and the 1974 cover was produced by a certain ex-Beatles member who also sings in the background.

By the way, I don't expect you to know #5 snippet as they were an aussie '80s band who never cracked the US market (sadly).
They were great Pub rock outfit but occasionally crossover to rockabilly. This quiz is aimed at Australian members too and that's why the fragment is featured. Britbox might know.

#2 - Subterranean Homesick Blues - Harry Nilsson, produced by John Lennon. That was a hard one! The Beatles clue helped. I knew it had to be Lennon. Who would have thought Nilsson? But it was fun to listen to.

I've updated my list above, and discounting your obscure Aussie band at #5, we're only missing #11. Can I buy a clue?

well I expected that to be the easiest one of all. It's another iconic four piece band from England. The fragment I picked was their debut single back in 1969, lol...

Four piece bands were a dime a dozen in England in the late 60s, even iconic ones. I'll get back to you tomorrow. But probably Led Zeppelin?

Ok fragment #11 features a group who released their first single in 1969. They became Huge and would continue on until 1980, when they broke up after the death of one of the members. Who was that band?
