On Steve Hoffman Music Forums, there is a Same Songs titles thread which i tried starting up here. Did not go as well as hoped. Anyways i would love to add some here , if that's good?

Hows about "Little by Little"?

Tom Jones and the Sqiures,
The Rolling Stones
Dusty Springfield
Oasis
Robert Plant

I liked your thread idea, Vince. I wanted to get involved more than I have but I've just been so busy recently & when I have had time to chat & come on here I've just been too exhausted. Of course it's o.k. for you to start it up here. This thread is about music after all.

You're welcome, Vince. I like cats to look at but prefer dogs. I was born into a dog family. The 1st dog I ever knew my parents had before I was born. I was so used to dogs that when my parents got a cat I wasn't used to her. I was stroking her & she started wagging her tail. As I was used to dogs I didn't realise cats wagged their tail when they're angry not when they're happy like a dog & I got bit & scratched a few times. I was also used to stroking pets when I wanted to not when they wanted me to because I was used to dogs not cats. She got onto my knee & I started stroking her then she dug into my legs just when I thought she was enjoying herself. Dogs don't do that. I will take a look. Thank you very much.

To keep the subject on music.

What do you think of this? You have to listen with good headphones to fully appreciate. Appears to be a home production with few cuts/not perfect timing (well this is just TicToc), but what harmonies! If the low bass entering at the start surprised you, wait for the soprano girls, and them for the electronic/techno effects towards the end. And above all, the happy creative mood of those who put this video together. Awesome!

Hey music lovers, listen to that, best on the quality headphones. You will be blown away by the absolutely perfection and beauty of this Billy Joel's rendition.
Words cannot describe the ultimate feelings, just listen. Those guys are simply phenomenal and they picked up a worthy piece to show their skills.

This "Disturbed" guy catches my attention. I didn't care much about his cover of "sound of silence" (good but not better than S&G), this one really earned my admiration:

The original piece by the master Sting just fades in comparison. Sting's video (re-watch it if you don't remember) is just a little nothing: mixed images without any apparent meaning. just chaos of random symbolism.
But this man here, who released this cover of the song on Set 11 2020 (no doubt he chose the 911 anniversary on purpose) shows exactly what he's "disturbed" about and why. Dark picture of the lonely world (perhaps covid/lockdown related as pandemic was peaking in US at that time), but singing in nice soft voice (very much like Sting's voice!). Then aggression in the middle (from 2:25) very unexpected!. Then finishing in his own voice by looking at the mirror as if being afraid of "losing my faith in self". Undoubtedly "you" means "self" here. Or maybe even "you" is broadly "humanity in isolation" during lockdown.
Beautiful colourful/changeful music and what a message in the video!

ABBA - The Swedish Beatles, are Back...

Here's them singing in Spanish (i.e. Knowing Me Knowing You)

Now, for their newie, "I Still Have Faith In You" video, note: clever use of holograms.

Aah Horsa, Bless you !

How are you? Which ABBA song(s) you like best? Did you enjoy their new vid? Certainly interesting video with use of the holograms. The Swedish legends have a new album coming up in November.

I'm fine, thank you very much for asking, Vince. How are you?

I'm just very busy with work & I'm even busier in my spare time now as I've just been made a chat-room co-ordinator on 1 of the forums I'm on. I didn't put for the role but got told that the owner & all the mods were gutted I didn't apply for the European moderators role a couple of weeks ago when they asked people to & they asked me to do this role which they said they thought I'd do very well at. They've also told me it's a stepping stone to becoming a moderator though I'm not 1 yet (I've been told I could make a good moderator in time) but I'm still on the staff list. They said they're trying to ease me into a moderator's role gently. This chat-room co-ordinator's role is more involved than a moderator's job though it's more fun & pleasant so I want to do good enough to keep this role but not well enough to be moved on to moderate as I'm allowed to throw more ideas about & put them into practise in this role whereas if I go onto moderating I won't. I get to throw ideas about, organise events & games & run them, get conversations going, join in with conversations & ensure that the chat-rooms run smoothly as well as helping people in there. I do have the ability to edit chat posts, kick people out of the chat-rooms & ban them if they cause a problem I can't solve by talking things through as well as organising things. The chat-room section is basically my territory. There's also a forum feed in the chat-room so I can keep an eye on what's going on elsewhere on the forum. I've familiarised myself with all my buttons, taught people about the chat-rooms, organised events & spoken to people & kept conversations going as well as keeping an eye on everything already. Sometimes it gets very busy & I'm buzzed all the time.

I like "Dancing Queen", "Knowing me, knowing you" & "Money, Money, Money" best.

I enjoyed their new video. Thank you very much for sharing.

Thank you very much for the extra information.

You certainly picked three all-time ABBA favourites, Horsa. well done.

As for me, while their famous records are well known and played , i have over the years , discovered their final works such as the VOULEZ VOUS, THE VISITORS and SUPER TROUPER records (long players in those days). These albums yielded some interesting music in keeping with the times, 1979 - 1982 , where they were adapting to disco music or getting out of their comfort zone in other words. ABBA copped some flak over this back in the day, but it was no different to what other singers and groups were doing (Streisand, The Bee Gees , Rod Stewart, to name but three).

Thanks for telling us about your new chat room. All the very best with your new venture(s)
