hey i thought that was an Everly Brothers song.
Time for HORSA to discover the Everly Brothers music. I think the 'Roots' album (where the songs are mixed with old radio segments) and 'Songs Our Daddy Taught Us' made 10 years earlier are a good starting point. Your mama will dig Don and Phil, tooI didn't know that & had never heard their version before. Thank you very much for sharing.
I'm already familiar with the Everly Brothers music. I think they're very good. Mother likes them too. I just wasn't familiar with their version of that song.Time for HORSA to discover the Everly Brothers music. Oh wonderful. But does that include the two records i pointed out in my previous post? "Root's" is awesome album to listen start to finish with the way the brothers edited various fragments from the parents radio show inbetween their songs. Have a look for it on youtube if it is available.I'm already familiar with the Everly Brothers music. I think they're very good. Mother likes them too. Pre internet searches, how in the world did we ever decipher rock song lyrics ?
Song-words on the back of records or in booklets inside cassettes or CDs. Some of them were wrong as we found out when we listened again in order to sing along. Some people bought song books.Pre internet searches, how in the world did we ever decipher rock song lyrics ?
Just imagine their faces when someone tells them how many hours we had to traipse around libraries & read books to get our information for research projects & then all the hours we spent writing research notes. Then we got some information from video, cassette or records which we had to write notes from. (I still prefer to get information the old way as well as the new way.)One day someone will reply, “What does ‘pre Internet’ mean?”
