I like Bonnie's piece.Thank you for it. I wonder what you will say about my assertion that she sounds like an extreme female version of Rod Stewart. Compare said piece with this all time Rod's classic, released just 4 years prior (1975).

To my ear, they have their husky voices so similar, and the melodies are so similar, in the same key. The only thing that "feels" different to me (music wise) is Rod's Bass guitar chords follow very simple pattern I-V-IV-I, while Bonnie's bass guitar is more varied, hence setting more intriguing/interesting mood (e.g. during chorus from 0:55), hence I like Bonnie's piece better.

You're welcome. I like both of them & agree with what you have to say. I prefer 2 of Bonnie's other songs though I like that 1.

I love the Rod Stewart song you shared. It's 1 of my favourites & I've sung it many times.

These are my other favourites of his though.

Do you mean to show this song whew Phil Collins sings in high falsetto? I'm disappointed because I'm getting "this video is not available in your country". If u want me to enjoy/comment on it, you need to find another video. Thanks

If it's any consolation it's not available in my country either.

Well, you're polarising my emotions now: I removed the media that I don't like from my quote.
Let's focus only on what I like: the eclipse of the heart. Very well sung by Bonnie. Now, here is the big thing: don't you think the chorus "And I need you now tonight" sound surprisingly familiar to a more famous Whitney Houston song? For one, you don't need to have Whitney's voice (her early 1990s voice I mean) to sing such stuff. Bonnie does very good job, and beyond that, she shown so much variety of emotions associated with close relationship, brilliant. And for 2: don't you think Whitney just plagiarised Bonnie's chorus herein, into her own flagship song? I don't even want to quote the flagship song, likely no need to because we probably all know what flagship song I am talking about.

I agree. It is. (I have a voice that allows me to sing trad. Scots/Irish songs, Kylie songs, Carpenters songs, ABBA songs, Cher songs, Whitney Houston songs, Bonnie Tyler songs & Celine Dion songs not to mention crescendos & diminuendos so I don't know whether you have to have her early 90's voice to sing such songs.) I know which song you're on about.

Hmm! How do I say this nicely? I've never heard this song before. Thank you very much for sharing. I love the Beatles & I love Beatles songs but this isn't exactly 1 of my favourites & I don't think this is 1 of their best. Obviously some people would disagree.
