the castle mystique and the castle magic is still alive. I just know that we will get to where we are going. all we need is time, patience, and belief.

there were times when the castle was nearly dead but I never gave up. now the castle has 65 volumes and each volume is 5000 posts.

that is 325,000 posts.

but it took nearly 5 years to achieve that. now that thread is the most popular thread at mtf. it may even be the most popular thread on the planet.

so think of it as an aircraft: critical ground speed needs to be achieved before it can become airborne.

it will take us a year to reach critical ground speed.

Jeepers, I hope it doesn't take a year! Let's not spin our wheels forever. What are you going for? Good conversation? Fantasy real estate? Marshaling the troops for the next big tournament?

I looked that castle up:

Château de Chillon, Lake Geneva, Switzerland.

What's up with all these castle stuff? I don't understand. Can someone
say it in a nutshell? There are some 48 pages in that thread and
obviously I don't have time to read all of them.

we are going for 500,000 posts at the castle princess moxie.

and we are not stopping until that happens.

and anything goes at the castle. that is what makes it fun and unique. here folks can just be themselves. they have homes here. and their homes are their castles.

people come from all walks of life to just kick back and relax. and maybe even share their love for sports with each other.

but it is not just sports. it is anything that tickles your fancy.

we just want to facilitate, promote, and encourage the process of gathering together of those who are warriors and warrior princesses at heart.

welcome to the castle general gamesetmath.

check out our opening page. it explains it all.

all you need is to be a warrior at heart and you are in.

pick out a cool castle for yourself when you have a moment.

and give yourself a title.

we will display your name, your title, and your very own castle at the opening page.

the objective to bring those together those who are warriors at heart and encourage/promote/facilitate interactions and experiences that entertain and inspire.

some folks will walk away from something like this with life long friendships.

it is just cool to have a small number of folks that you can interact with on somewhat regular basis.

interactions become more fun and more relaxed.

general gamesetmath I have not forgotten your request.

I just have not figured out yet how to make a castle using Escher`s staircase.

I may have to consult princess moxie and baron britbox?

That's not top 10, herc. That's like top 15. :p

Here's mine. Know that I am a very big fan of Sci-fi and thrillers, so they tend to dominate my list. And I've gone one step further and listed 20 of them. I am sure I am still missing quite a few. Like for instance, I like almost all the Hitchcock movies. I am not happy about my order though as I rushed a bit and didn't give it proper thoughts.

1. 2001: A Space Odyssey
2. Solaris (Russian)
3. Stalker (Russian)
4. Se7en
5. Memento
6. Silence of the Lambs
7. The Exorcist
8. Contact
9. Fight Club
10. Fallen
11. Shawshank Redemption
12. A Clockwork Orange
13. L.A. Confidential
14. Blade Runner
15. The Thing
16. Mulholland Drive
17. Kill Bill Vol. 2
18. Star Trek: The Motion Picture
19. Pulp Fiction
20. The Godfather (first)

A terrific list, especially for those into sci-fi and thrillers. Some great titles: 2001, Solaris (I love that you picked two by Tarkovsky!), the Exorcist, Blade Runner, Memento, Clockwork.

I smiled when I noticed you included Contact. I've watched that more than any other film. Dozens and dozens of times. I owned it on VHS, DVD, and now Blu-Ray. Yet I always get something new out of it every time.

How was Steely Dan?

Have a great weekend, and a happy birthday! :)

Classic Steely Dan, who doesn't love Deacon Blues or Hey 19? I have art for everyone to see.

Where will you be "exchanging" to, August?

I'm going to Germany. I've studied German since 2006 and want to improve my German skills. And seems like a good place to go also otherwise.

That's fantastic! I did my exchange tours in Spain and Italy. Have an absolutely gorgeous time. Maybe you can help me with my translations blog, in your 'spare time.'

Once I've improved my German skills, I may help with some translations if I have time for it.
