borg is a buffoon when it comes to straight tennis talk.

I guess he was just dying a few deaths a day watching nadal declare war on his records.

he was wishing and hoping. he should have come clean. he knew nadal had no equals on this planet on the red clay. hell nadal usually beats you on clay at just 60% capacity.

I think his first clue should have been the fact that nadal wins 96% -97% of ALL his matches on the red clay for nearly a decade. in all his life, he has lost just 1 best of 5 sets match on the red clay.

becker is funny but he too cant call it properly. somebody buy him a dress with the way he changes his mind every 20 minutes.

I like henman and rafter. now they are bright.

I also believe that andy murray is one of the brightest ones out there. he is the one to listen to when he talks.

he is objective and he is articulate.

I split my view of them into two categories: a) The General Chatter b) Breaking a match down in progress.

For instance, Wilander talks a fair lot of rubbish in category a) - he blows with the wind like most of them do - silly predictions, overblown superlatives etc... but he excels in category b) - watching a match unfold and how certain players should make adjustments etc...

I think my favourite match commentator is Frew McMillan - he says it how it is without needing to hype anything, and I like it when he has Wilander as his sidekick in the booth.

was frew a south African? who did he play doubles with?

was it Hewitt and McMillan team that was an all time great team. I should check shortly.

anyway truth be told, more often than not, I turn off the volume when I watch the matches. I don't need a lot of mindless chatter.

I can enjoy the battle without any noise getting in my way.

it is fun to read about what is being said about these matches a day later or later after the matches.

so post match interviews and commentary is something that can be enjoyable too.

killer cahill---your fellow aussie--- comes across as reasonable and objective.

and another one who is good is jimmy arias.

I am not any good at those types of games general.

also I tend to stay fairly busy. I know it does not seem like it but it only takes me 3 seconds to make a post.

also I am usually working on something at home when I am relaxing here.

I just booked a room for my mom and dad for tomorrow night.

dad and I just finalized our plans for tomorrow. we will have scotch in his room and then we will have an awesome dinner. mom will drink a little bit of scotch too.

I am going to give my mom and dad a cool $1000 to blow at the casino tomorrow night. they will like that.

life is short. it does run out.

its actually good for you if done in moderation general.

a glass of red wine or a beer a day cant possibly hurt you.

even hard liquor is good for you. there have been tons of studies done on liquor.

Hello all!

I wrote about the 2020 Olympics bids in my blog. It's quite long a text but it has also some tennis-related stuff. You can find my opinion on which would be the best place for the Olympic tennis and also a bit about the Fuentes case as Spain is one of the bidding nations.

Read it all, general August.

I incline to agree with the choice of Tokyo as host city for many reasons besides the tennis reasons. If Nishioka matures enough, maybe Japan can run for the tennis gold metal at such an edition.:D
