Hello all!

I wrote about the 2020 Olympics bids in my blog. It's quite long a text but it has also some tennis-related stuff. You can find my opinion on which would be the best place for the Olympic tennis and also a bit about the Fuentes case as Spain is one of the bidding nations.

thanks for posting it general. I shall check it out shortly.

hey General CD,

I think I finally managed to crack the system for 1973. Admirably, there are so many differences to the official rankings outside Top 10 that make me think ATP used two to five systems, depending on who calculated each player in August 1973.:laydownlaughing

Sorry I can't post my research in so many places. But maybe, if this is successful, Brit is gonna agree to also host the entire rankings database on the website.:D

que pasa general slasher.

I think vilas was the best player in 1977. he got ripped off.

also did I mention that I am not happy with him? I read about some of his losses:

1. one to wilander at RG

2. another one to vitas gerulaitas at the Italian open

he had zero business losing those 2 matches. I think wilander was 5 years old at that RG.

he lost to a kid in diapers.

smart move by berdych and isner to get away from the Winston-Salem event.

isner was pushing his luck anyway.

its too close to the slam. no time to recover if an injury is sustained.

Interesting read. I have no idea why Spain are bidding for the Olympics. They only held it in 92, and the country is upto it's eyeballs in economic woes. Hosting the Olympics is generally a big drain on public finances.

now I wonder how isner and berdych will do at the open. they both pulled out of this event today with injuries:

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (AP) -- The biggest news at a soggy Winston-Salem Open on Monday wasn't made by who advanced. It was who pulled out.

Two-time defending champion John Isner and top seed Tomas Berdych withdrew from the tournament.

After the day's early matches were delayed 4 hours, 10 minutes due to rain, James Blake beat fellow American Rhyne Williams 6-1, 7-5, in a first-round match.

But the day's big story was the withdrawals of the two players who met in last year's final: Isner pulled out with a hip injury, and Berdych withdrew with right shoulder pain. Isner beat Berdych in last year's championship match.

Maybe I'll appreciate Federer more once he retires. I'll probably appreciate him more than Rafa once he retires too.

The one on the right looks likes she's worrying about ending up in the Gulag.

Dumb question: what is Gulag? I am afraid to Google because I'm at work.

Baron Britbox, Lady Emma has a couple of Enhancements request. Should she open a ticket for those?
