Serena has outwitted the best coaches in the tennis world,from Hogstedt,Vika s coach,Sven from Adidas,Carlos Rodrigues,Ricardo Sanchez e.g Serena vs Petrova Rome 2012,Yuri Sharapov,Joyce,Darren Cahill and Na li and Jie Zheng s husbands...she beat all these players and their coaches.That must be humiliating for these men...after pova got on court coaching at 3-2 in that 2nd set during that final in Miami she never won a game after that,Serena threw that bagel right into Hogstedt face...kinda like eat that...lol

Serena was struggling with confidence after her loss at RG12,after losing early at A012 and Miami and RG12 she was in her first final in a slam after the USA Open 2011 debacle..who knows what she was going through..maybe nerves and flashbacks...she woke up at 3-2 and ran away with the set and match ..

tennis is a mental game and she has smarts to realize that she has to change tactics mid match to win...like that 2nd set against pova in Miami,during that changeover after pova broke she was probably thinking about ways to get back into the match and never looked back after breaking back..that takes smarts to fight pova and Hogstedt and bageling in the process.:snigger

She scares players more with all the noises coming out of her for the simplest of shots; including drops! It's unwatchable for the most part! Most of the ladies do it and I've been wondering when the WTA is going to start cracking down on all that stuff on court? It's all been a pipedream saying it's being "grandfathered" in with the new and younger players! Total BS so far; getting worse from what I can tell! It's called NERVES, and the older you get, the more they seem to take hold. And as far as losing a set at Wimbledon to Radwanska, remind me, who won that match. As far as her battles with little known player's, even her biggest critics will tell you, she tends to play lazy tennis against the lower ranked players. If athletics was it took to win as much as Serena won, then Kim C., Elena D., Caroline W, and countless other players would have won more slams, or won slams.

Thanks, Tossip. You are posting rational arguments to support Serena. My response to others is that Aga has not won a major because she lacks power. Tennis has become a power game. If a power player can hit her shots, finesse players can do nothing but watch the winners go by. If you doubt my statement, consider how successful Pova is. She is not known for her tennis smarts yet has four slams.

You can have all the talent in the world and if you don't

know how to use it effectively the talent is useless.

A lot of players now a days hit the ball hard. But they don't

do what Serena does.

One has to be smart enough to adapt and change your game

when things are not going your way. There is no way

Serena could do that as many times as she has by being
