A few hiccups in the first, but then Mugu comfortably through. Osaka is a fun 18-year-old and giving Halep some trouble.

Osaka has hit the biggest serve in the tournament, apparently. She's fairly immature in her point construction, but she wallops the ball. And she just got back on serve v. Halep in the 3rd. Upset is possible here.

Halep gets it done, but Osaka is a teenager to watch, for sure. Tremendous positives.

Rogers bagels Petra in the first set... Rolleyes at Petra sometimes... what an enigma.

She's on the scoreboard now... but a lot of work to do to turn this around.

Shelby Rogers knocks out Petra 6-0 6-7 6-0.

With due respect to Shelby, Petra should not be getting double-bagelled by her. Embarrassing loss for a two time grand slam champion... bordering on disgraceful.

Clay is not Petra's best surface still that was just a pathetic performance!

I have to say Radwanska has been the 'surprise packet' so far at Roland Garos, considering clay is her least favorite surface
