Where Serena really needs to be is at the net and give these ladies a different look. The baseline is killing her in these matches. Mix it up. Her net numbers are great for this match.
Richard has been preaching it to both sisters for years. They'll do it for a couple of games, get burned once and then it's like Taboo for them the rest of the match.

The match I really want to watch tomorrow is on third show court. It is the match between Carla Suarez Navarro and Sloane Stephens.
Carla announced on Twitter in April this year, she had finished her chemo and annnounced,"I'm cured".Carla has been off the tour since February 2020.
It dosen't matter if Carla does not win the match, she already has won,her battle of defeating cancer.

Oops Marg I saw now your comment, and yes! she has had a great and fast recovery. Tomorrow has a tough opponent but like you has said even if she lose she has won her battle and that is the most important thing

Just watching Jen Brady (13) against Sevastova.Jen won the 1st set 63 and has a lead of 2-0 in the 2nd.Jen has really improved her clay game, and will be teaming up with Ash Barty in the doubles.
I have been called in early to work so I will miss Svitolina and Ash Barty's matches live,I will record and watch later
Enjoy the day's play everyone. It is a beautiful day in the 'City Of Lights"

Petra Kvitova has left the building, so Vesnina is in the third round with a walkover

Just watching highlights of Ash Barty's match, also listened to her press conference, maybe Ash to reconsider playing doubles, with the small injury she picked up today in her match

Wow....what a t/break played by Gauff and Krunic in their 1st set,Coco finally winning 76(11)
Krunic has done a good job to reduce the 4-0 deficit in the 2nd set,Coco won the match 76(11) 64!
Hard fought match by both players
Well done Coco!

Carla Suarez on court with her match against Sloane Stephens
Lovely to see Carla playing again, since her battle with cancer.
Carla wins the 1st set 63....love that 1 handed bhand Carla!
Carla was serving for the match 5-4 and Sloane breaks from 30-0 down
The 2nd set is going to a t/break...good play from Sloane when I thought she was gone before the t/break she wins 76 (4)
Onto a 3rd set we go.
Slaone wins with an Ace 64.....Hugs at the Net!

Loved this quote from Venus on playing doubles with Coco,

"I think we're hopefully going to be a perfect match. She's so extremely talented that I'll definately be expecting her to do all the work".
