An upset after more than 3 hours play - sorry for the slightly blurry picture

I saw that one went into extra innings. I'm sorry to see Bibi go out.

I really hope Serena can start to find some form. Begu can be a tricky opponent. I would love to see Serena make a surprise run here.

Breaking News,

Naomi Osaka has just withdrawn from the tournament citing she needs time away from the tour and will expand on it later.

Quite frankly I am not surprised she has withdrawn.

Quite frankly AF I dont think she had any choice but to withdraw, she brought this on herself,if she is really struggling with mental issues she should not have played in the first place.
I still think the tournament/ITF coming down on her head like a ton of bricks yesterday didn't help. I know you don't agree with me.

Osaka has cited she has been struggling mentally since the USO 2018

Osaka has withdrawn from French Open

From the text
"I think now the best thing for the tournament, the other players and my well-being is that I withdraw so that everyone can get back to focusing on the tennis going on in Paris," Osaka wrote. "I never wanted to be a distraction and I accept that my timing was not ideal and message could have been clearer."

and later
In addition to Sunday's fine, Osaka drew a surprising warning from all four Grand Slam tournaments that she could face stiffer penalties, including disqualification or even suspension, if she continues to avoid the media.

Osaka, who was next scheduled to take on Ana Bogdan in the second round Wednesday, said she hoped she could have a conversation with officials from the WTA upon her return.

"I really want to work with the Tour to discuss ways we can make things better for the players, press and fans," she said.

We have done that, there is a special post for Osaka on the media can you please move it there.
Seems that I recently have done some wrong things. I think this is important for the tournament so that's why I post it here. You may place a copy but I''m not moving anything. If it's wrong what I'm doing then I think I'll stop posting.

Serena's playing OK for a 1st round. I don't like her outfit though.
