And of course, you have to imply that of a “certain player”, kinda hard to slam a poster when you admit you used the same unfounded accusations of a player you disliked. Talk about giving up the high ground.

How can you say that my friend? I am just having fun with troll. Nadal is arguably the greatest player to ever play the game.

With some people, Novak will always be their afterthought; sorta like Barry Bonds in baseball! His "at bats" were must see, but the haters made every attempt to undermine his abilities! If they don't like you, you don't count! :face-with-head-bandage: :fearful-face::face-with-hand-over-mouth::face-with-tears-of-joy:

I didnt see this one coming..
I did Casper is a better clay court player than Sasha, I picked him in 4 sets to win, he is a typical clay court player, he knows how to win on clay, grinding points out, his heavy fhand is a big advantage on the clay, which he showed again today in his match .

I wonder why Davydenko suddenly thinks anyone cares about his opinion? And surely he doesn't mean Alcaraz? SMH.

:face-with-tears-of-joy:
Read the thread I started a few days ago, the interview was from a year ago, plus in that same interview he specifically praised Alcaraz as an exception.

What I found interesting is that while he acknowledged the Tsits/Zverev generation was bigger & stronger, his premise was they lacked technical skills. I think this FO supports his premise.

Daydenko was a very hard working player in his day, not quite top tier but very dangerous ( one year beat Nadal decisively in the Miami Masters final) , Ferrer-like one could say. Always liked him so I welcome his insights, considering a world where Pat McEnroe and others get to give their opinions why muzzle Davydenko?

I did see it. I just thought this was a fresh quote from today, or something. i didn't realize it was from the same interview, and that it was from last year.

He's not wrong about Zverev, and, say, Khachanov, though he's improved somewhat from pure ball bashing, and others, but I'd say Tsitsipas has more than a few tools...he's just gutless and self-involved.

I have no problem with Davydenko, per se...while never a fan, it was hard not to admire his commitment, and for a wiry guy, he was built like a rock. He took the ball earlier, and was one of the few to retire with a positive h2h v. Nadal. (5-4, I think.) Fair point that he may as well give an opinion. As I said, I thought that remark was from today, and it wasn't quite apt.

Maybe I will take a $100 to bet on Rudd and if Novak's injury flares up again.. I should win what 2000(Rudd has got to be a 20-1 underdog..? )

Early odds are 4.5 on Ruud (European odds system), meaning you get measly 450 USD on Ruud if you put 100 bucks. They are underestimating Novak I think.

Heck.. I want a bigger payback for my $100.. Maybe I can create a rumor that Rudd was resident at Maralago and the Feds are monitoring his association with #45

Excuse? Of course you have a massive advantage in batting power when you triple in size!

Look at the dates! He didn't start doing the Steroid thing until he was old and almost out of the game! He was jealous of McGuire & Sosa's notoriety who also got caught w/ PE's and were drummed out of Baseball! Those are facts! Bonds missed out on a couple league MVP's due to "writers" just hating his guts! He was a great player before steroids and was even bigger (no pun intended) after he started in the late 90's! On ESPN, they broke into other games to show his "at bats" even though they suspected him of taking PE's! He truly was must see TV in 2000-01 making his World Series appearance! He was someone that was walked even w/ no one on base! He was walked w/ the bases loaded which hadn't been done in over 40 years! He was feared and hated at the same time! :face-with-tears-of-joy: :fearful-face::face-with-hand-over-mouth:

Until his injury, I always thought Zverev was one of the better ROS guys on the tour, whereas thats a decided weakness of Tsitspas game.
