I've never hidden my total disdain for Nadal! Never needed to cry about anything, but I do keep his record in prospective unlike Fedal fans! :face-with-head-bandage: :anxious-face-with-sweat:
Exactly, you are constantly crying about Rafa ;) Talking down his opponents in RG etc. 11-7 :face-with-tears-of-joy:

Ruud is a much better clay court player than Sasha, look what he did to him in this match from the start, his heavy fhand was a highlight, just like he did against Rune, he is prepared to grind it out, typical clay court play

Sometimes your comments surprise me. That’s the way Ruud always is; self-deprecating. Then he comes out and gives it his best. He’s got a far better chance than Zverev.

I hope so, but all I expect from him is mental weakness when it's going to really matter on Sunday. Kind of like Tsitsipas or Sinner collapsed last year against Djoko at RG/Wimbledon as soon as they felt they could win. We shall see.

You work towards the F.I.R.E. and miss both semis. It all happened too fast, Alcaraz body gave up beginning of 3rd set and Zverev didn't put up a fight at all. A bit anti climatic all of it.
So what you're saying is Carlitos isn't made to sustain 7 5-set matches to win a title? Unfortunate. So it appears the men's SF were duds while the women rocked it yesterday.

Let's hope tomorrow that he doesn't take another 10 minute break to disrupt his opponent's rhythm, because I wouldn't qualify this as "'paces himself well" and "champions always rise at the right time" but rather as cheating and dishonesty.
What you are saying sounds very familiar. Fed fans, me included, used to say the same about a certain player.

Ruud lost to Nadal at YEC, 0-2 against Rafa.

I just woke from a long nap! Was thinking since Ruud making the YEC final, he must have taken a bite out of Nadal just like everyone else! Now he really has little to no chance if he couldn't take advantage of Rafa when he was dropping matches to Fritz! Thanks! :face-with-head-bandage: :face-with-hand-over-mouth::fearful-face::face-with-tears-of-joy:

I mean we can’t deny Casper is making it far in tournaments probably where we least expect him to, so odds have to be in his favor he gets one no? I’m hoping it is Sunday and he surprises.

It's weird you know, he played several grueling 5 setters last year in USO and not a single problem in even worse conditions and here his body cramps after 2 hours? He didn't even play a single hard match here. I wonder if it is maybe mental, could it be a stress that triggered it?

Yeah, women were awesome yesterday. Pity that Haddad Maia couldn't win that 2nd set, I rooted for her badly.

Davydenko talking about how this generation has no technical skills other than hitting harder than in his time.
I wonder why Davydenko suddenly thinks anyone cares about his opinion? And surely he doesn't mean Alcaraz? SMH.
Zverev relied on retrieving ( moved well relative to someone of his height) ie defensive skills with good power on his groundies.

The crown prince couldn’t adjust to a player that was just as steady from the baseline , the question that was asked about Tsitsipas applies to him, what does he work on now? He’s never developed a genuine transition game for more aggressive play to end a point. Its almost as if he has the opposite technical challenge to Tsitsipas, though they both need to upgrade from paper maiche ones to brass ones…

You mean Federer when he took long breaks against Wawrinka SF and Nadal F at the 2017 AO when they had the momentum and admitted it afterwards? Ah yes, good point thanks.

The men's tour has had a total mental collapse & hangover dealing w/ the Big 3! That's why Roger was able to hang on so long! They can't seem to finish them off; even if injured as Nadal was late in the season! Players like Sascha, Daniil, & others can be given a lead w/ MP's & find a way to give it away! :):lol6:;)

And of course, you have to imply that of a “certain player”, kinda hard to slam a poster when you admit you used the same unfounded accusations of a player you disliked. Talk about giving up the high ground.

You bring up a good point about his mentality. Yes if I remember correctly he won 3 consecutive 5 setters before taking out Casper in 4. So if it's really mental as you suggested, there's one glaring difference w/ today rather than at the Open. Last year at the USO he wasn't ranked #1 or the fave so the pressure wasn't on him. Now this year it is. This was the one match he had to win in order to have the best shot at the title.

Tod Woodbridge one of my commies on my match, thought the cramps could be more or a mental/stress for Alcaraz as he did have a lot on the line in this match up and facing Novak

I think we can lose the unvaccinated crap at this stage. Those so called vaccines are about as good as a kick in the nuts...
Vaxxed or not doesn't matter. Casper would've dropped kicked Frances in the final. He's way too consistent for someone, who on his best day will be a high serving ball retriever

As smart as Novak is, his treatment of the P@ndemic made no sense! The Aria Tour he created showed these idiots hugging and socializing after matches! It's as if he didn't believe there was a global problem! :face-with-head-bandage: :anxious-face-with-sweat::fearful-face:
