Sousa to serve for the 2nd set.

Maybe it is just me, but I am still not sold on Murray as a great clay courter.

C'mon... "great" maybe is too much, but "good" is the least we can say.

I'll give him "good". I'll even give him "good +". But I don't see him as a contender for this title.

Goodness me, watching Borna for the first time, and already had enough of his roars. Awful.

murray is unstoppable..a set away from continuing his clay icon glory.

I am hoping Ferrer will stop him.

So, Rafa gets a mystery opponent in the 3rd round (just like Roger). His opponent is
Andrey Kuznetsov currently ranked 120. These two have never played each other.
He is 24 years old.

Andrey is from Russia and ranked outside 100 and has no prayer. So I expect Rafa to
be relegated to Suzanne on Saturday. They will probably schedule Novak vs. Kokki and
Andy vs. Kyrgios on Philippe for Saturday.

Has anyone seen Andrey play before? What is his style (grinder, aggressor, counterpuncher etc)?

It's not clear to me that Novak would prefer to play Ferrer on clay than Andy.

That court interview will get the French crowd on Murray's side! :)

David doesn't threaten any of the top echelon! I've commented on his "brain-damaged" way of just bashing the ball and hoping his opponent drops dead! He's the worst example of a consistent ball basher who has the imagination of a gnat, unable to see he needs to do more to even take a set off the Big 4! He has so many opportunities to come into the net and cut off some of those "floaters" of Nadal, but refuses for the most part! I feel for his fans! :cover :puzzled :nono

Borna's career-first 5 setter. Probably number 1,302 for Disco Tommy. Be interesting to see how Borna's inexperience, and Tommy's age factor into this set, if at all.

You may be right, but Ferrer is accomplished on this surface

Ferru is a career 6-9 against Murray, which is not too shabby against someone who is clearly top echelon. And Andy has never beaten him on clay (4-0 David).

And that is why I am still picking David to come through, if they meet.

And Isner is sent pacling.

That leaves two US players in the men's draw after only 2 rounds - Steve Johnson, who is already through to the 3rd, and Jack Sock, who is tied at 1 set each with Carreno-Busta.

Borna saves a breaker serving at 2 all. So far, it does not seem the pressure is getting to him.

and Borna blinks first - curious how he handles playing from behind in this situation.

It looks like once Tennis Channel takes over at 10 a.m. ESPN3 is allowed to show only matches on court 7. I am just guessing this based on the pattern in the last few days. Can someone confirm this.

So, Coric pulls it off against Robredo. :clap

If Jack Sock manages to win, these two youngsters will fight to get the right to face Rafa in R4.
