Ahhhh the old "you know exactly what I'm talking about" approach when nobody knows what you're talking about.

You said you're not easily disgusted but that Nadal's behavior DISGUSTS you. So no, I have no idea what you're talking about, because clearly, someone who's not easily disgusted cannot be disgusted by a guy taking time in between points. There has to be more. We're eagerly looking forward to hear what that is.
Nothing much to say when you are only focusing on his pace of play, while you know very well that he does more than that.

I would argue that you ARE actually easily disgusted, if you find Nadal's behavior that abhorrent. He generally comports himself as a gentleman on and off the courts. I know that there's a lot of complaint about how slowly he plays, but as I have mentioned before, everyone praises him for his mental focus. I think his rituals and his slowness are about gathering that focus. You and others try to make it about gaming the other player. I don't agree with this, at all. I believe he plays slowly because it helps him think, plan, and make adjustments, which he does very well. There is a shot clock, and sometimes he gets called. But he's learning to work with it. So, let's face it, his pace of play is not "disgusting." There are rules for that, there are reasons that he plays "deliberately," I'd say. (And let's not forget that Djokovic can be a slow player.)

Bandage-Gate: You don't like the timing of when he it was bothering him, and took the time to rip it off. It didn't take that long. What about Federer going off the court v. Dimitrov for treatment on his neck, when he'd lost the 4th set? Where is the outrage? Something's bothering you, and you're losing so you want to try to fix it...is this a newsflash?

Here's the thing: there IS sometimes some disgusting behavior on-court done by tennis players. Kyrgios rings a lot of bells. Otherwise, screaming at umpires, throwing racquets, hitting umpires and lines people (Shapo/Nalbandian,) throwing coins gets mentioned, actually physically attacking the opponent has happened; racist comments have been made. Even Federer has been known to curse and throw racquets more than a few times. Djokovic came within inches of being defaulted when he nearly hit a linesman at RG, and I think that might have been the year he won it. Of all of these things, which of them is Nadal guilty of? Answer: He did get called for cursing once.

So, yes, I'd say you have a particular gag-reflex where Nadal is concerned, and it doesn't seem that he's earned your disgust. It comes down to the chicken-egg thing, right? If Nadal hadn't always been such a finger in Roger's eye, would he really bother you that much? Would there be this endless narrative created by Federer fans about what a Black Hat he is? A cheater? To me, it's clear why we keep massaging over the same small things...even years after they happened. You all whip yourselves into an endless frenzy, and including about falsehoods, and keep telling yourselves the same bedtime stories, because it suits your narrative.
Like I said above, many Nadal fans want to focus on his slow pace of play, but he does more than that.

I know he does more. My question is, what is it that he does, that disgusts you?

Stop being even more of an idiot than usual 'cos you've been slagging and diminishing Federer's achievements just as much if not more. The Nadal fans have been putrid since the USO finished. You also accused Federer of doping multiple times (Superman, swiss medicine, never gets tired, etc- that last part is laughable btw in comparison to your favourite player) so don't go acting like a saint (it doesn't suit you) and in the interest of double standards, you better have received a warning here too for the doping insinuations. Re GOAT status, it's far from done yet unless you haven't noticed and last time I checked someone hadn't noticed how clay dominant his favourite player's stats are. Federer had 2 match points to make the difference still 2 slams just a short time ago. What a short memory some people have...

PS: Let me re-phrase, the site's worst Nadal fans have been putrid since the USO. The good posters haven't been causing any grief at all and have in fact been embarrassed by the amount of crap their fanbase has been posting. The hilarious thing is the worst clowns seem to think it was the Federer fans who started it but, no, we didn't. It's been all stupid boast, boast, boast every damn thread from some people here. We've been merely replying to that crap and somehow the clueless ones seem to be too dumb to work out that we're only replying to the crap, not starting it.
I just curious, Front do you consider yourself a good poster or a good Fed Fan.

For me, personally, there are 2 different yet related things. One is the Federer-Nadal rivalry, within which there is much to be admired and enjoyed. I have learned to appreciate Roger, and can root for him. The other thing is the Fedal wars, which is a purely fan-based scrum. Like Red Sox/Yankees or Real Madrid/Barça, it can be a lot of fun. What I think is unfortunate is when it does get toxic, which comes from the fans who can only hate the other, and cannot appreciate the amazing tennis being produced from both. The ones who can only diminish the other because they simply must to buff up their favorite. That's when it becomes fannish and tiresome. I know there are some here who have accused me of being "obsessed" with it...I'm not, but I can enjoy the back-and-forth, for the fun of it. However, yes, I will defend Nadal from spurious attacks.
Moxie, There's the big difference..I have also stated numerous of times about how talented Roger's game is and what a legendary competitor Roger is..I probably root for Roger 80.percent the of the time and I truly felt that he outplayed Novak at Wimbledon but unfortunately lost the TBR s. Yet, the fans attacked me when I stated how great Roger's defense and serve is.

I don't even like all of Nadal so called fans, but I'm fair. But sympathy is not my goal with this post because it's well known for lack of a better word, I don't suffer fools gladly.

There's no such thing as a good Fed fan...:whistle:

Well I guess maybe now that they won't be on top for much longer, they are finally starting to be a little nicer...B-)

Meanwhile Rafa fans have always been very humble, classy and respectful of others.

Not true..KSkate is an extremely extraordinary honorable Fed Fan. Kelli may not always being thrilled about Rafa's accomplishments she is fair and very good. However your point is understood.

If you're going to think that way he's a very famous old painter & architect too.

Bravo, you noticed! :good: He is multi-talented but he doesn't talk about it because he is very humble and shy...

Besides all the mental wankery in this thread, from Nadal apologists mostly, I've yet to hear a good reason to support this moonballing cheater. I mean give me one. Let me guess, fighting spirit? There's David Ferrer for that who doesn't cheat his way out of trouble and looks at his uncle for tips even though it's against the rules(it was but Nadal was still doing it). I mean what kindof an asshole does that?

Has Nadal done ANYTHING for tennis that's actually good for tennis but not HIM? Nope can't think of one. I mean this is the same guy who wanted the net height to be raised by 2 inches or something and wanted to get rid of a serve.

Nadal is quite literally the WORST thing to have happened to tennis. There is noone more anti-tennis than him.

This from the guy who defends Nick Kyrgios.

Kyrgios is brash, short-tempered and a bad sport but not a cheater like Nadal. Learn the difference, dulltard.

One look at monfed and it's proof enough that it's Fed fans who are the problem not Nadal fans. Nadal fans would never insult Federer in such a way. :cuckoo:

I have no idea why you say that Nadal "cheats." What does he do to cheat? This is a Fedfans construct to offset how much Nadal has made Roger look ordinary, at best, and actually poor, at times. This is a Fractured Fairy Tale that you tell yourself, to make it seem better. Along with the one whereby you excuse Kyrgios for just being "brash, short-tempered, and a bad sport." All of that is good with you? Or at least excusable? He can talk about the sex lives of other players on court and on mike. He can tank sets and matches. He can jaw with the crowd, throw his racquet, insult the umpire, and somehow Nadal has done worse, as far as you see it? Strange standards, and no one wonders why.
