Strange passive stuff from Nicky and Muzz holds. 5-5
I just saw the highlights..Nick bombs a 135 plus serve..Murray’s return barely made it over the net..Nick had enough time to stroll to the net while performing a RHOA Kenya Moore full 360 twirl @ and smashes the ball across the net,.hot doggie style at its finest

A tennis player being called a clown is not a compliment. I’ve concluded Kyrgios and Monfils don’t quite know how to play tennis. I’m making a distinction between playing tennis and hitting a tennis ball.

Interestingly, those two both share the same habit of hitting first serve speed in their 2nd delivery on big points. High risk strategy that is not endorsed by any player in the field. Maybe I've seen Tsonga doing that on rare occasions, but no one else I remember. Kyrgios surprised couple opponents with this strategy in his early career (Gasquet, Nadal in wimby) and succeeded. Now the field learned this "spontaneous act" of his, and is not surprised anymore. But he rarely loses matches by DF, so going big & risky usually pays off for him, while Monfils did DF on those occasions several times.

Murray says: “I’ve played a decent match but I’m not sure if I will play in Wimbledon”
It doesn’t sound too good

Hip injuries have a tendency to end athletic careers.

That’s sad news. Murray looked much better than I expected vs Kyrgios. I thought he had a shot of climbing back to a decent level.

No, but we want him to be fully fit.

Maybe so, but you do have to put a dampener on things. Realistically you're right but sometimes we have to look on the bright side & be optimistic. Sporting history (I wouldn't call it history because it's less than 50 years old but it happened in the past so some people would call it history) proves what you have to say is right & that you're just coming out with the facts but as with everything there are exceptions. Is this going to be 1 of them? Does anyone know? Only time will tell.

It is. He might have yet. We'll have to see.

I looked at double draw more closely. We have few interesting teams (apart from orphaned Mike Byan who already advanced to 2nd):
- couple of teacher-pupil national teams (Nestor, Shapo) and (Hewit, Kyrgios) (!) I hope pupils will benefit from the experience of their older colleagues, especially the last "rusty brat" team will be practicing efficient play rather than tanking.
Then a very unusual pairing of top singles: (Djokovic, Wawrinka:yahoo:) (is it a joke?!) marked (WC) and playing LL, means they teamed at the last moment to fill in the large openning in the draw. The doubles in the top players' mind, back in fashion? The only bigger surprise of such nature would be the Fedal team at wimby. We had a taste of it at Laver Cup but that was not serious (and a confirmation they would need to do some work to become a team rather than two individuals). Why not to beat Joker-Stan stunt?

Frances Tiafoe into the QFs! I also noticed Novak/Stan in the doubles. And playing a LL team. You'd think they'd be able to find some available tennis players in London this time of year, but still haven't slotted anyone in.

Uncle Sam dismisses Stanimal in 3. SQ is a tough customer on grass. Had something like 25+ aces.

No way Fedal double happens in a GS or ATP event. It will be confined to Laver cup only.

It might happen in the senior circuit, after both have retired though.

I thought it was announced that Fedal were playing doubles at Wimbledon? Was I wrong?
