Nicky serves 32 aces 2 days consecutively and ousts the defending champ Delicious in straights. Cough Drop/Nicky in the SF tomorrow. Should be a cracker.

Should be good but I got to favor Cilic. Nicky showing he should be a big threat at Wimbledon...which probably means he will fall flat

Exactly right. Might not even make R16.

It might not be a shocking loss this time though. This Wimbledon may have the most crazy draw we've seen. Practically everyone of note is going to play and a lot are very low ranked.

Another decent win by Novak. First final since Eastbourne last year.

If he were to complete this comeback; what a hoot and a feather in his cap for Nole to have won back to back grass court events! That was his last victory last season! I doubt we'll ever be able to say that about a certain "Clay GOAT!" He's having enough trouble getting out of the early rounds of Wimbledon the last few years vs players ranked outside the top 100! :lol3: :yahoo:  :ptennis:

If Novak’s wins this tournament, maybe Darth will quit being so dismissive about Novak’s chances to defeat Roger on grass if he get seeded in Roger’s quarter of the draw.

All depends on Roger. The way he's played this week he won't make it past the QF but hopefully he finds another few gears and if he does the only major threat I see is Cilic at this Wimbledon. Nole is showing some improvement but he has to be all the way back to threaten Roger on grass unless Fed truly sucks at Wimbledon this year. I'm not reading too much into his Halle form...yet

Hmmm.. I haven't been paying attention to Queens with the World Cup going on. Cilic vs Djokovic will be fascinating. I would expect Cilic to be too much for Novak at the moment. If that's not the case then Novak has progressed more quickly than I expected. I guess I'll have to pay attention to that final

Novak’s form this week will wipe the court with Cough drop

I haven't watched any matches at Queens. You may well be right about his form, but his biggest test is mental now. Don't forget this will be his first title since what... 2016? It's a big big deal for him.

No, he won in Doha and Eastbourne last year. But it's still a big deal.

The way I see it, a healthy Cilic should be the 2nd guy most likely to win Wimbledon and he screwed up by not beating Djokovic there in 2014 when up to 2 sets to 1. When he serves well and isn't making many errors, he's an absolute animal as we all know from the AO this year against Nadal and when he beat Federer at the USO. It's Cilic's match to lose against Novak imo and a bad loss if he does lose. I can see Cilic winning Wimbledon this year tbh if healthy. Not saying I think he will, but it wouldn't surprise me one bit as he's been very good last few years.

He's going to feel like he's got something to prove after that final last year, too.

Personally, I thought he was playing extremely well first few games and it wasn't looking good for Roger.

He'd quietly put himself in a great position before the final, including in the tune-ups. I'm just saying that the blisters, I guess, then the nerves or whatever got to him. I'm sure he'll be looking to make up for that performance. Whether he can or not is another question.
