You and Darth are like kindred spirits. He was worried about the same thing when Fed played Marin in Aus final. I told him the same thing. Rog eats cough drops. LOL

I was also scared of Cilic in the AO final and when he won that 4th set I was like oh no not again!

I wasn't worried about Marin at Wimbledon last year or AO this year. I'd be a lot more worried if they play this year though. Roger's greed level may be down and Cilic certainly would have revenge on the mind.

You haven't been around very long. But it's a nick name for Marin since he claimed cough drops caused him to fail that drug test.
I know I've been here quite a long time but until being invited to chat only really wrote poems in my poetry section so I wondered too but didn't ask in case everyone thought I was an idiot as I'm not as clued up about tennis as everyone else as I came here from Camelot which I got invited to for my love of horses & sprung the fact I could write poetry on Clay at the last minute & met Britbox at Camelot & thought he was a nice guy so when Clay asked us to support Britbox I did. Clay opened threads for me on horses & poetry & other than the odd foray into books, music & t.v. I just stuck to horses & poetry because I got told I didn't have to talk about tennis if I didn't want to, until I got invited to chat which I enjoyed until I realised I was in with the wrong crowd & saw back-stabbing, racism & hatred which I was glad to see the back of. I also made some good friends here & enjoyed myself & would like to thank you very much for having me. It's a lot nicer here now. Thank you very much for all your help. I'm trying my best to act like everyone else, fit in & move from just writing poetry to chatting & having a laugh too. Sometimes I think I'm doing well & at other times I find it very hard but I've made some good friends here & enjoy myself most of the time. I write poetry spontaneously & don't have to worry about other people's thoughts, feelings & possible reactions as well as what I know about certain things & want to say so I actually find writing poetry easier than chatting as there are no comebacks though I would welcome constructive criticism.

I think he claimed some hydrating drink bought for him by his mother. It was @Kieran who extrapolated it to the more amusing "Cough Drop." Clever poster. Much missed.

I've been looking through the old threads & find his stuff on books & poetry interesting. I wish he'd come back as I think maybe we'd have got on & had interesting conversations.

Baron is secretly trying to recruit him back to the dark side. Although, now it's not a secret anymore

You would love him. He has a wicked sense of humor.
Let me offer one of my favorites of his, in terms of wicked: Radek Stepanek, the Czech player, and no one's idea of an oil painting in terms of pure beauty, has had great success with the ladies. Folks always made crass remarks about his likely endowments as his calling card. Kieran, in a nod to his Eastern European roots, dubbed him "Rad the Impaler." Rude. Poetic. Genius.

Good to see Stan back on form. I only watched a little of that. And Tiafoe had a big win today. :yahoo:

He was our Bard. You'd love him.
That's great. You never know, maybe if he came back we could write together or have a rhyme-off for fun. We could be partners in rhyme. (Just ideas of course, he might not want that but some poetically-minded people like to get together with others & bounce ideas off each other & create together.)

Haha! That's great. Someone I could possibly have a game of pun Ping-Pong with then? That would be fun.

Back to tennis, folks!
I've noticed unusual team in doubles draw. Mike Bryan partnered with ... Jack Sock! Never seen Bryan bros separate since I've been watching them for more than a decade! What happened to Bob? Injury:
http://www.espn.com.au/tennis/story...other-loses-opening-match-french-open-doubles
during their their loss in Madrid. so, they are separated since RG (where Mike felt his life sucked without his twin) and predictably lost in the first. The same will likely happen here. And that historic & sad news passed by not mentioned on this forum:cry:

I'm very sorry for extending the off-topic views.
