Can someone post the next steps? Does Djoke have to leave now or can he still play AO using his lawyers?
Novak lawyers will put an injunction to the order.Hawke has the power being the Immigration Minister to cancel his visa.
It will depend when the case will be heard.probably Monday, though I have heard it could be heard on the weekend.

Yep, Alex is a very brave man: he will face criticism for his decision because the public (even in Australia) started to have enough of it and say "let him play, he's not that big of a threat now, what's the point of dragging this saga?"
I remember a fictional movie where IRS used to go after a millionaire because he miscalculated his tax return and "cheated" one cent on it. Now, I think Alex going after Joker sounds similar in practical terms: Joker's practical threat to Australian public health is like that proverbial "1 cent" for IRS. ABF is as serious about their jobs as any gov agencies in the world. And the Joker story is as real as can ever be!

I've heard the hearing be on the weekend, too. Otherwise, Joker must postpone his first match scheduled for Monday. Because, according to the immigration rules, with the visa cancelled, he must go back to the detention.

Alex Hawke is also stating with the cancellation of his visa.he will not be able to come back to Australia for 3 years under the act.

Djokovic is a foreign traveler, and he made a false statement on his immigration form. On top of that, his grounds for medical exemption didn't conform to Australian statutes. On top of that, there is some question about the veracity and timeline of his covid tests, and he definitely poses a heath risk, as he defied even his own country's isolation mandates. The international disgrace is Novak's. Let's see if they actually get him out, though, or if his fancy lawyers prolong this enough to let him play.

I do not think this is funny by the way...laugh it off if you will...stop making excuses for someone who clearly has No Regard for Rules and thinks he is above any law.

Novak totally screwed this one up. He could just skip the slam if don't want a vaccine. Maybe this year will be the last until all the borders open and traveling become easier.

Now he is facing a 3 year ban.

The former deputy secretary of the Department of Immigration, Abul Rizvi, was on the ABC earlier, outlining what he thinks will happen next, including the return of Djokovic to detention:

What that means now is that Novak Djokovic must be taken into detention. I assume he’ll go back to the same detention hotel that he was at previously. I assume his lawyers will now seek judicial review of that decision. And, the court will need to consider whatever application Mr Djokovic’s lawyers make.
I assume the applications will be for Novak Djokovic to be released in some way, probably directing the minister to release Mr Djokovic on a bridging visa to allow him to play in the Australian Open. The judge would consider that and make a decision

Bolded above is mine. There is still a chance he plays, if the judge allows it, pending appeal.

If it is the same judge as in the first case, Djokovic will play.

Man, it’s getting more crazier

Again, you must be delusional! I haven't given Novak any excuses! Just stated facts "you don't treat the #1 player in the world like this!" It's far from funny! The future of the tournament w/b in question! WhoTF will want to go? It's a real trip as it is! W/ a possibility of being kicked out like this? IDK!

Directing the minister to provide a bridging visa? Is the minister referred to here Hawke? Why would Hawke give him a bridging visa? If he is willing to do that, he wouldn’t have canceled the visa in the first place.
