It just occurred to me that I have not heard anything about him losing sponsors. I wonder if any will drop him?
I mean if he didn’t lose any sponsors over the past two years, then he has found his companies that will tolerate anything from him.

Why would he loose any sponsors, he have been a misfit for more than a decade
True, but this has gone way beyond being a misfit within the world of tennis. International news organizations and publications are leading with this story, so his wearing their stuff will be all over the world.

He has put his fellow players in an awkward position as well in which they are going to be asked about it, and I would be annoyed too and throw him under the bus.
It does bring up a good point you made earlier. Just like the CYGS, players will be looking to boot him out (especially the ones who have a victory over him).

As she should. Since Aus is in the reimbursement mood (paying for Djoke's legal fees), let them pay her which I'm sure won't even come close.
She’s going after Tiley and company at Tennis Australia, but I suppose she could go after the Aussie Government too depending on the Djokovic outcome as well.

It seems from that article we also have some insight into why Australia doesn’t accept a positive Covid test within 6 months as a valid exemption. Based on the deal they offered Djokovic, it seems they only view a positive Covid Test as a single dose of the vaccine. Seeing as you have to be double vaccinated to enter the country, then it wouldn’t be accepted if they are viewing a positive Covid test in that manner.

I went back to this article again, because I had noticed a podcast from Patrick McEnroe speaking to Eddie McGuire, Aussie sportscaster. It's only 20 minutes, and very informative, particularly for the non-Aussies amongst us here, in terms of internal politics and such. One thing he said that I had not heard was the Scott Morrison, the PM, while we know that he was standing hard on the border issue, (rules are rules, etc.,) there is also a push within Australia to loosen up the border restrictions on letting in foreign workers that the economy down there depends on. So, if I understand this correctly, the PM, who has an election coming up, may have conflicting self-interested motivations for which way he'd prefer to see this go. Very interesting listen. And McGuire is an entertaining gabber.

That's the thing, if they boot Novak out, too, does she have a case? But if he stays, she's been hard done by. Likewise, that Russian woman who was denied because they didn't like the Sputnik vaccination she got, but she did get one, and so if Novak plays unvaccinated, she could have an argument. Both women would have lost the opportunity to earn points and prize money.

Who is she? Unless her name sounds like SHA-RA- POVA, nobody will pay attention.. they will write her a check and move on

Speaking of Sharapova, it didn't work for her to say that her team failed to inform her that her drug of choice had fallen on the banned list. Does Novak really get away with signing an immigration document, swearing to its veracity, and them claiming it was his agent who made the mistake? To me, this is so lame, and the height of privilege. "I have people to do those things for me. I can't be blamed if they do them wrong." You know what? Years back, Sofia Loren's tax accountants made "mistakes," and she spent a month in an Italian jail.

Actually, Sharapova did own it, though. Yes, she did say something about someone on her team should have noticed or whatever, but in the first press conference she pointedly said that didn’t matter, because ultimately it was her error. Novak has not done that.

Its time for Roger to weigh in with his opinion. If Roger condemns Novak's recent lying and selfish antics, it would give Hawke the out that he needs to cancel Novak's visa. All he has to say is that he concurs with Roger's and others opinions which we all know that Roger's voice is still the most powerful in tennis.

Does Djoke play Monday? If his visa is revoked Friday afternoon, can his lawyers enable him to still play?

Well let’s be honest, I think Djokovic’s lawyers strategy will be to draw this out. I think as long as it is undecided that he will still be able to play. He will bombard them with so many delays that he plays. The biggest hope now for Djokovic to leave is someone catches the Holy Ghost and sends Djokovic packing early.

Roger would be right to stay the 10,000 miles away from this that he is. And why should Hawke rely on the opinion of a tennis player, when it is the law he needs to worry about?

Some have said that Novak might avoid press conferences, if he stays in the AO, and take the fines. If so, this doesn't wear very well:

And in terms of insisting that tennis comes with inconveniences that we don't like, it already seems a bit double-standard. Osaka is in Melbourne, so one assumes she's vaccinated.

Roger's opinion may weighted in the tennis community than the law. As we have observed Craig T didnt care about the law. Just my opinion..
