I think in terms of the partisan posts, I’d find it hard to believe that if Rafa was in Novaks shoes right now, Djoker fans here would be proper and impartial, believing all his contradictions and be wishing him well.

But in fact, even the most impartial person has to be asking questions about Novaks arrival in Australia. Even his own fans have to be wondering, I’d imagine…
Not if you are not border police. My goodness, are you one of those who 'patrols the borders' of your own country in your spare time?

As to your point on Djoker fans: how is that a justification for lowly behaviour? Someone else did it too! Really?

Nope, I’m not justifying anything. I’m saying that your taking offence at this is a nonsense. You’re as partisan as everyone else, and I don’t blame you for it. I don’t believe I’ve behaved in a lowly manner at all here…

Let’s be frank here. The whole of social media is ablaze with this. This is life now. It’s a big story. And it’s one that interests tennis fans in particular. What do you think we should discuss? I’ve said it a few times, The sooner this is sorted and we move on, the better. But I’m not the only person here wondering about what’s really happening. I’ve also seen Djoker fans discuss it too…

Ah you are taking this personally. Rest assured, you are not behaving in a lowly manner. I was quite clear that I was referring to the NYT comments section (and I can add twitter to that as well). Here the reaction is mostly quite comical in that people are trying to be tighter than Ian Foot. And yes, I am partisan, but I respect Federer and Nadal. I think they are two of the three greatest in tennis.

In vain. Wink at the blind ...

I take it you don’t understand the difference between the ATP and Tennis Australia. They are two independent bodies, who can (and do) make up their own rules. Just because the ATP makes a rule, doesn’t mean TA has to follow it, and vice versa. If the ATP’s rule about traveling were to apply to the AO, then it could be applied to any player, at any time, which is ridiculous. Their rule can only apply to activities within ATP events, otherwise they would have complete control over players 24/7/365.

Ah, my apologies! I was just about to scour my old posts to try delete some, in case I wrote something I’ve forgotten :lol6:

I think we all should have the attitude you have towards Fedal. I remember when I was younger I detested Connors and McEnroe because they were a thorn in Borg’s side. Took a passage of time before I grew to appreciate them. Now I try appreciate all the players but really, The Big 3 are incredibly special, all of them unique, different to each other, and giving us more great matches than maybe the whole of the rest of Open era tennis combined.

He has said in the past , more than a year ago that he was against vaccination. But what about more recent time? Novak DJOKOVIC to my knowledge has not discussed and has kept his vaccination status confidential (which he , or anyone are entitled to).
