Djokovic either faked his test result or he saw people while knowingly having Covid. He should be banned from Australia for the rest of his life not only 3 years. :bye:

Well I guess the You-Tube videos I've seen prove the pt. that Nadal's a gutless turd who avoided Federer & Djokovic on grass & HC if he could in the last decade! They showed 10 instances where he suspiciously WD or retired just before playing them! During that same period of injuries, he WD'd only once on clay! He allowed Fed to beat him 5 or 6 str. times 5 yrs ago and hasn't beaten Novak since 2013 USO on HC or grass! Let's put an asterisk next to that 2022 AO victory! Banning is one way to control the situation; esp. w/ his fans! Yep; GUTLESS! :lol6:

I have no clue what you are talking about buddy. This thread is about Djokovic and the way the topic of vaccines/pandemic has been handled by him and by the countries he wants to enter. It has nothing to do with Nadal, clay, hardcourt, injuries, etc.

Well, he didn’t want to take it for health reasons. He doesn’t need it, and that’s reason enough, especially given that plenty of people have subsequently had a worse effect from the vaccine than the virus. He wanted to choose, on that basis.
I can find no back-up for your sweeping statement per the bolded above. I googled it several ways. Front posted a list of athletes a while back, but I followed nearly every link to articles, and they were all speculation and leap of logic, or nearly all. I've never known anyone with a bad reaction to the vaccine, nor have heard of any, besides Chardy, who claims one. And that's with all of the Top 100 in men's tennis vaccinated, except for Novak. (Though I don't mean only in tennis.)

He didn't want to take it for health reasons is the same as saying that he didn't want it. That's his choice, as basically everyone has said. But he did need it to play some tournaments. He just decided to forgo them.

Well at least you know you're "clueless!" I don't have to say it then! You invoke Nadal's name when any subject's being discussed so spare me!

Oh, so it's Nadal that got Novak banned? What is it you like to tell people? Oh, yeah...seek help! No asterisk. The tournament was played with all eligible players. A few have pointed out that no tournament gets an asterisk when, say, Rafa is injured and can't play. Get over it. Rafa won the AO.

What kind of data are you looking for? One that defines the word “plenty”? I personally know 3 who were fine before they got vaccinated, and haven’t recovered, and nor have they caught the virus. Some of them have virus-like symptoms. And I know people who know people who are the same, and we’ve read and heard of people who got vaccinated and were worse off after

He didn't want to take it for health reasons is the same as saying that he didn't want it.
Yes but that’s a good reason not to take it. He chose not to take it, for the good of his health. You make it sound as if it was an arbitrary thing, that he refused to take the vaccine because it’s like a pair of socks that aren’t the colour he was looking for…

Tennys Sandgren, an American tennis player, who like Novak didnt want a COVID vaccination, he looked at the exemption criteria, for the AO, realized he didnt meet it and stayed unvaccinated at home. In hindsight Novak should have done the same thing, now he has to wait for the Federal Immigration department to over turn the 3 year ban.

There are probably people who think that is going to be a simple matter, that since covid is largely in the rear view mirror and restrictions are being dropped like hot potatoes, it’s better now to forget the past and move on. But of course, Novak’s issue is a matter for the law, he’s still serving his time for his actions and if the law is dispassionate, he’ll be treated - again - like everyone else who’s faced the same sanction…

Of course there's no asterisk, especially since Nadal beat Medvedev who had just trashed Djokovic a few months prior in the USO final. Djokovic made a choice to not get vaccinated and he knew the risks in terms of travel restrictions.

Also if Djokovic fans want to talk about asterisk then how about this year's Wimbledon with the Russian ban (medvedev, rublev, etc.), the Covid withdrawals (Berrettini, Cilic, etc.), Nadal getting injured, etc. It was like an exhibition level tournament and the 0 ranking points ended up reflecting that.

Agree, people here have openly said he should get no special treatment, he is a tennis player and is not above the law.

Yeah, and once again he’ll throw his expensive brand of lawyers at it, but the things that weren’t brought up when they last told him to pack his suitcase are still not resolved - his lies and his behaviour when he had covid…

Djokovic and his fans always play the victims. He freaking tossed a racket into the crowd last week and then when he got a warning Djokovic started being a drama queen with the referee making excuses, and his fans too all over social media. The man has attitude problems and whether he wants to have an attitude on the tennis court or believe in Energy pyramids over vaccines, he should be ready to accept the consequences and take it like a man. The same for his fans. What a bunch of crybabies.

Do you think he will challenge again if the Federal Immigration uphelds his 3 year ban?. I hope he dosent, it could back fire big time on him, especially when he had COVID and was suppose to self isolate and went out the next day for photo shoots etc? and handing out tennis trophies to kiddies?....I respect his decision not to get vaccinated, though when he was positive, he put others at risk that is down right selfish in my point of viiew

Cool! Skip my commentary about Nadal avoiding Fedovic; scared to play them off clay! He's done it too many times to ignore! He's well enough to come back against Taylor at Wimbledon, but avoids Djokovic by giving "walkover" to another dangerous player in Kyrgios! Same thing at USO in 2018; down to Del Po retires mid-match, but's really avoiding final against Novak! If y'all want to use commentary like that against him, I can use it against Nadal! I have more evidence though! :face-with-hand-over-mouth::astonished-face::fearful-face::face-with-tears-of-joy:

Nadal had a freaking stomach tear that could get worse with each match. It was clearly affecting him on the serve against Fritz. He missed many weeks after including Canada and barely was ready for the USO. Djokovic was not his next opponent, Kyrgios was. MOVE ON.

So naive and gullible! You probably believe Roger and Rafa are great buds too! You're living in a fantasy world of your own! :astonished-face: :fearful-face::face-with-hand-over-mouth::face-with-tears-of-joy: :sneezing-face:

So wait, you think Rafa’s family were in on it too? They were yelling at him to stop playing. Taylor Fritz? He said Rafa’s serve speed went down like a leaf balloon. Just to avoid a match with Novak? Rafa was on a roll, unbeaten at the slams this year. He’d beaten every player of substance he’d faced…
