Well I just heard Nadal only has to win 2 of his RR matches at the YEC; so it may be just about over for YE #1 ranking! Shame; what a waste of those dead weeks going onto Nadal's total! He'll never catch up to either Fedovic! :nono:     :ptennis:
Depends on how Novak scores. If Nadal wins 2 and nothing else, Novak has to win the whole tournament and at least 2 RR.
If Nadal is fit he will reach SF. But I don’t see him reach the F.

Now it’s becoming a beat down, like the Greek got in Paris.
Feel a bit sorry for Matteo, he didn’t know what to do.

The only stat that matters is he's won WAY more games against Nadal than the other two and had set point in the 1st set when they met at the USO. He is very good btw as you don't make the USO semi by not being good. The slow indoor courts don't suit his game is the most likely answer.

In the on-court interview, the woman (Sue Barker?) said that the court is fast.

She's about 175 years old. Don't mind her. Probably doesn't even know which city the tournament is being played in.

no hes just not that good the other next gen players beat big 3 in their first matches all you got is set points lol] you can talk about games with nadal but at end of the day he lost in straight sets just like Djokovic Federer. did you forget zverev beat Federer+djokoivic wtf last year he's much better player than berrettini but not nadal 0-5 by the way indoors courts suit he's game just fine Djokovic just smashed him most likely answer.:(

Berrettini couldn't even put a ball in play today. Did he think that his good looks would be enough?

I expect Federer to beat Thiem in their match, but it would be amazing if Thiem can win and extend his h2h lead to 5-2. :popcorn

I think Federer will stand no chance against Djokovic 6 in a row coming up, goat nadal will win all he's matches if 100% fit.

She was standing on the court and Djokovic didn't disagree with her. What makes you so sure it's slow?

Hope you are right with Novak-Federer. Surely Nadal will win all when healthy, maybe Daniil is a small? when courts are fast, I would prefer that he loose one match in the groups only to raise the stake for Nadal-Novak Final for the YE No1!
If Nadal reaches F without a loss, it will be at least for their h2h.

"He WON way more games". Pretty much an empty statistic ..at the end of the day .All most likely will remember is W or L.. Thats the main stat that history will record

the Italian got a tennis lesson today by master Djokovic 6-2 6-1

This kind of beatdown is quite common in WTF. There are couple of reasons for it.

#1 - There is still a huge gap between the top guys and the rest, even including the players who make it to WTF.

#2 - Top players show no mercy in WTF as they know that efficiency of winning may play a factor in case of ties
for moving ahead to next stage.
