Great to see the beautiful and great person Thiem beat Djokovic yet again! :good:He has now beaten Djokovic in 4 out of their last 5 meetings! And now let’s go my dear friend Federer, finish off Nole and send him back to Serbia! B-)
I think you just defined "fair weather friend."

I know he is everybody’s darling. I don’t like such persons in common.
It’s from the first time I noticed him, hard to explain, nothing special.
Don’t like his game, attitude and behaviour. This is the short version.
I really like thiem him+medvedev are my darlings after nadal but I can understand why you and other don't like thiem he's interviews are a bit planed also just says that people want to hear.

What really Rafa answered to that Italian stupid reporter

I liked Rafa's brilliant reply..it must have been an anti Rafa fan to ask him such an obnoxious and ignorant question like that.

WTF always exposes this glorified claycourter. No easy draws to vulture titles. Didn't expect ziraffe to roast dull but we'll take it.

Looks like Novak and Thiem played one hell of a match. It also looks like Novak is having some matchup issue with austrian who is hitting the balls very hard, but also can stay patient enough which makes Novak uncomfortable, sort of like Wawrinka. Thiem really seems like he had enough of that loser shit and it's just going for it full of belief. I also don't get why some people don't like him.

While Novak has mental edge over Fed and Rafa (except at RG) he will definitely have to find ways to deal with these young guys as they keep winning against him more and more often. I think he is afraid of Thiem now in some way, because he knows he is not afraid of him and now he comes creeping in his head so he loses his confidence. It also looks like Novak is not able to stay with him with that intensity of play to push to the finish line. If he doesn't come playing lights out tennis there is going to be more of these loses in the future and in the slams too.

He needs to evaluate his game and make some adjustments and improvements before it is too late, but there are limitations to improvements no matter what you change and at the end it's all about weapons which you have and against big hitting guy like Thiem or defensive guy/counter puncher like Medvedev who can also hit big he don't have much artillery to hurt them and win comfortably. It's mostly going to be close matches going forward with decent chances of losing.

Now the battle with Fed will be so interesting, because it is best of 3 and I could see Novak losing this one even his level seems to be better at the moment than Feds, but he could be tighter. Fed should swing freely with nothing to lose. Bookies will still probably put Novak as a favourite, but so far favourites are mostly losing in London this year.

"Glorified clay-courter??" Some haters expose their ridiculousness, and it just keeps getting worse for them, or, ahem, you. 7 Majors off-clay is a top-tier Hall of Fame career, all by itself. That's as many as McEnroe's and Wilander's total, and more than Edberg and Becker. Total. Your notion that he's had easy draws across 14 years is just your imagination.

The battle today was mostly mental, and Djokovic lost it. I don't think there's anything wrong with his game. And he almost always finds his best level when playing Roger and Rafa. It's playing the others where he seems to lose focus, so, yeah, he has a bit of a problem with the youngsters. As far as Thursday, one thing in Roger's favor is that he'll have the crowd.

thiem could get to number one next season maybe
A couple of weeks ago everyone was all about Medvedev getting to #1. It's worth remembering that the glass ceiling at the moment is #2. Only Federer/Nadal/Djokovic/Murray have even made it to #2 since 2005. Also #1. Let's see who cracks #2, first, before we get a new #1.

Fred can't even get a clean win against a Berretini. What days we're seeing as Fed fans. Apocalyptic.

out of all the players outside big 3 thiem+medvedev are the best so far its between them two, then getting number one maybe not next season but it will happen one day Federer Djokovic in the some event omg then that ever happened at wtf. Medvedev might lost two matches lately but he's still going to have a great season next year.

Thiem played lights out, you called it god-mode, yes. He won 7:5 in TB 3 set.
Wjat would you say ,how Novak played?
When you compare the results of Roger and Novak, who did you see in front for tomorrow?

LOL the serbian pusher got exposed.
I'm not from Serbia , I am a Chicagoan :yahoo:

All kidding aside, Rafa's return of service and his dtl fh has got to be better. Most important, he cannot drop the ball so damn short. Any USTA 3.5 player can come in to the front court and put those short balls away.. That's tennis 101..

I think Djokovic played well but not at his best we both know he would have won if did better than what Federer played, as far Djokovic vs. Federer you don't have to worry Djokovic got in the bag he mentality owns Federer and that's going to win him the match. in saying that I would like Federer to win for the rivalry to get good again also so nadal can end number one.

The opinions on Thiem will change again when he loses in the 3rd round of the next slam. I am not yet sold on Thiem. His high risk game may not work. He knows that he has to hit the ball hard to beat the top players. The reason why he is beating Federer, in my opinion, is that Federer is no longer able to use his variety because of his limited movement.

Zverev performed well at the same tournament last year, and we thought it was a turning point in his career, but he still remains the same Zverev we have seen the last few years.
