Haha Nadal did it.
What a choke! Wow

Exactly what I said after the US Open.....Medvedev clearly has a mental problem when it comes to finishing sets after gaining momentum. Today was a more pronounced repeat of what happened in the BS US Open final.

I'll take the positive out of it; Nole won't have to face Medvedev in the SF regardless of what he does from here on out in the tourney!
Now I will strongly root for Nadal against Greek and Ziraffe to loose both;)

Not conveniently omitting anything. We've discussed that match at length. If anything proves that going down that early break wouldn't have "given" Meddie that match, it's this one.

Or perhaps the mental baggage from that match carried over into today.....both he and Nadal know that he should have won the US Open final but squandered it. It becomes harder to win matches like this after prior chokes. Just ask Federer against Djokovic and Gnatal.

Houdini Nadal lol! you do make your fans suffer...............a.lot sometimes.

And this is really going to screw with Medvedev's head.....to not finish a match like this shows you have a mental problem with finishing out matches and sets when everything is going your way.

No Cali..not this Time..The game of tennis is defined by one’s ability to extends the points.. not all about what should’ve happened..Listen to Paul Annacone, he is saying exactly what I am saying.

So now, I have to root for Zverev to win because if he wins, then the winner between Nadal and Tsitsipas on Friday night will reach the semifinals.

On the updated scenario for YE#1:

Djokovic can only win the YE#1 by winning the event.

As for Nadal, if he can somehow win on Friday AND Saturday then he wins the YE#1

Not Houdini, today the trick was easy visible, it’s called the Medvedev ;-):
In fairness, the first half of the set was littered with errors from Nadal, the second half from Medvedev. So Daniil's mistake was going second on that stat.

Truth. Daniil is a giant midget, mentally. Nadal took what’ was given to him, this is also a quality.

Is there a chance that Nadal reaches top group position? Than he will probably play Novak in the semis.

No Danill made it to 6 straight finals including the US Open..if you know the game like you say you do..you have to a superior mental mindset to accomplish that..DM is legit..ask Fronty

The last time I checked the score update I saw Nadal trail Medvedev 0-4 (30-40 bp) in the 3rd! And now I see that he won????? Wow I’m going to have to check all the highlights later!:dance3::drums::cheerleader:

There's a very small chance that Nadal reaches the top group. The only way Nadal finishes in the top group is if Zverev and Tsitsipas loses badly games score wise.

Yes, because it's pure tennis. No sun or wind or 98-degree temperatures or funny stadiums or awkward bounces. It's about making shots in an ideal environment and it is very, very difficult for him.

Nadal won! :yahoo::lol6::whistle:
