Yep! and even if Novak would win the tournament but Rafa would reach the finals he still will keep the #1If Roger wins is Rafa numero Uno for the Year ?
What Rafanoy said is that if Rafa wins tomorrow AND Roger beats Novak, then he keeps the #1. Rafa still has to keep up his end.If Roger wins is Rafa numero Uno for the Year ?

Rafa's going to have to play a LOT better tomorrow, but he's still yet to lose to Medvedev. The Tsitsipas/Zverev match seems very hard to call. Both coming off of big, confidence-boosting wins. Both with a lot to prove. Zed is defending the title, and both he and Tsitsipas trying to make up for some less-than-stellar results across the year. Medvedev had become the young man-of-the-moment, and I think that had to sting for all of the young ones trying to be the best of the next Gen.Hope Nadal plays much better tomorrow and Zverev probably is not going to have a match as easy as playing against Nadal who let him play too easy. Very interesting both matches
Wow, a lot of pressure on that Fed/Djoker match, then, since Roger does have some skin in the game, meaning that he can help protect his weeks at #1. Oh, right...and he'd like to win the tournament again.Nope. Rafa can go for honeymoon. He does not need to do anything as long as Roger beats Novak.
Rafa is on lead right now. Fed beating Novak would mean, Novak cannot add any more points. Case closed.
PREACH !Nope. Rafa can go for honeymoon. He does not need to do anything as long as Roger beats Novak.

The other funny thing is that Fed fans kind of have to root for Rafa for once. And by "once," I mean once. At least we root for Roger sometimes. B-)Finally, the Nadalites can root for Fed once.
I would wait until that happens. Funny though, when the group was announced, basically everyone figured that Novak and Roger would advance. Credit to Thiem...he came to win. He's never been out of the RR stage before, and this is the first time he got 2 wins at the YEC.Remember I said Roger will defeat Novak..I can hear the Godfather James Brown humming the Big Payback
Go Roger gooooo!!!!!Nope. Rafa can go for honeymoon. He does not need to do anything as long as Roger beats Novak.

DarthFed ::sw1:: is rolling over in his grave if he knows you are rooting for Roger .Go Roger gooooo!!!!!
For reasons that I find explicable, it's almost harder around here to be a fan of Thiem than of Murray, but good on you for sticking to your guns. It seems that Thiem is as fed up as you are by the disrespect. Not fooling around this week.Wow, I wrote recently that I expected to have fun watching Thiem win in 2020.... it came sooner than expected. Obviously a completed untalented player that somehow managed to beat the two greatest indoor players of all time, all that without a big serve. Yep, no talent at all...
Hint for the replies: Both Federer and Djokovic are pasted their prime.
But what happens if Nadal and Tsitsipas both win? This is where Nadal not reaching the Paris final due to injury is looming large for now. That 240 points looks “big” right now.
Anyways, Nadal HAS to play better and win tomorrow! No excuses of not playing well especially knowing he controls his destiny once again.
Also, for seeding purposes, I want Zverev to win against Tsitsipas tomorrow night. If Zverev wins, then the winner of Nadal-Tsitsipas will be go on into the semifinals.
Congrats to Domi. Not easy feat these back to back wins.
