It's a 16 game season. If this was the NBA you can sit your franchise on the bench for a month and still make the playoffs. Not the case in the NFL. I'm not sure the Packers would beat San Fran at home without Rodgers, it is definitely a bottom 3 team in the league without him. 9-6-1 might make the playoffs this year and that's likely the best case scenario. Time to get McFatty out of this state once and for all. It's sickening that the whole state is now rallying behind boring ass baseball to salvage a sports year. Even the college football team looks bad this season.

Well you have to expect the college team/system to go to HELL due to electing that arse-Gov. Walker! He's cut a lot of funding and few will want to be bothered with that backwards state so you won't have the pick of the litter with great HS prospects! It's a cumulative effect when there's conservative leadership; will happen with the country after all's said and done by electing Trump! Money doesn't flow and colleges will have to rely more on patronage and Alumni to come thru for them! Wisc. probably not high on anyone's list even though I still have a lot of affection for Barry Alvarez! He was a good guy when I paid more attention to college football last decade! I was more a fan of Miami going back to the Jimmy Johnson days! I still remember fondly him sending ND's coach Faust packing with a humiliating 58-7 loss to finish his career there! Obnoxious and rude; maybe, but who doesn't hate ND sans the alumni? :yesyes: :p

Lol, making everything political these days aren't we?

I don't think Walker has anything to do with the football teams being underwhelming this year. But I mostly hate that jackass for almost costing this city the Milwaukee Bucks. He has the Potawatomi tribe contributing a crap ton to him in order to prevent a competing tribe from building a casino near the Illinois border. That competing tribe was willing to fund the Bucks entire new arena and Walker still turned them down. Thankfully they didn't end up being the Las Vegas or Seattle Bucks, that wouldn't have a good ring...that and I'd have wanted that bastard's head on a spike.

What a line up! The only game I'm halfway interested in is the Jag's! It would be nice to see The Boys" go down again on Nat'l TV! I can watch, then listen to the analysis of their losses week after week; year after year! How the mighty have fallen! I watched Jimmy Johnson create a MONSTER that couldn't be stopped almost 30 years ago and thru ego, the franchise has been turned into a colossal joke on par with the Raiders when Al Davis was meddling too much! They're still America's Team with that stadium, the sale of jersey, and the puffery of it's owner, but a team that can't even make the playoffs shouldn't be so lauded shamelessly by delusional fans and a soft media! If it were any other team, they wouldn't be getting such exposure! Since they want to be seen; might as well be as gutless losers with wasted talent year after year! :nono:  :cuckoo:

I can appreciate anyone's hatred for the Cowboys! The only thing I disagree with is Jimbo Johnson turning it around. That was all the doing of Minnesota and that heinous Herschel Walker trade. That idiotic trade has is own Wikipedia page, that should tell you how bad it was. Apparently ESPN only ranks it the 8th worst trade in sports history. I'm shocked it is that low.

Jimmy still drafted HOF players that couldn't be stopped; regardless of the trade! That was smart; the fault should go to Minn. for being such suckers! Dallas only took advantage of their stupidity; Johnson still the best assessor of talent I've ever seen! That 90's team should have ruled the league for the foreseeable future and it was blown up overnight! I thank Jones for doing it because it would have deprived the world of multiple winners of SB since he's such an egomaniac! :yesyes: :banghead: :cuckoo:

Update: Coincidentally S.A. Smith has Gary Myers on talking Cowboys! He's promoting his latest book breaking it all down with Dallas from Jimmy Johnson and his brilliance thru today, the team dynamics, and Jones' skull! :negative:

Moxie I’m surprised you didn’t pick the Patriots/Chiefs game Sunday night, that seems like the marquee pick’em game this week.

Anyways I think the Patriots are going to win that one at home.
KC’s porous defense has to pay the price eventually...

I just picked based on the closest records in W/L. TBH, I don't follow football. :)

Pats will definitely win Sunday, otherwise it may be the beginning of the end. I want to see one year where they only go 10-6 or something. That mediocre 10 win year that the Packers idiot coach thinks marks a good season.
