If that other doctor is a Djokovic fan than Nadal's career would be over. I say stick to the same doctor. Nadal keeps his family and friends close, he will be loyal to his doctor and trust has been built.
If he's old enough to be a doctor, he's likely a Federer man. Plus, I'm sure you're right that the Hippocratic oath doesn't apply amongst tennis fans. :lulz1:

The one shot that bothered Nadal during the closed roof fiasco in 2019 I guess it was Novak's first and very good second serve. Novak's tells are easy to read and I hope that Carlos and team if they met will be able to have Rafa prepped. I notice when Novak is stressed he is serving down the T or deep to corner of the box. However, that's just to get the ball back in play because Novak's ball striking is so good and his combos are very potent. IMO. I think Nadal can win this tournament if he can continue to play aggressively. I truly feel since he has #22 in his back pocket. IMO

I agree, AP. Nadal's return of serve has been subpar against Djokovic on faster courts. I am hoping he is able to prepare well with his team for Wimbledon.

With all his money and the importance of treating his foot, I really wish he would seek advice and/or treatment from someone other than his doctor. Why not go to some of the top medical centers in the world? Johns Hopkins or the Mayo Clinic in the US, or one of the European hospitals in Paris or Berlin? I know Dr. Ruiz is famous within sports medicine, but why not get a second, third, or even fourth opinion?
I think we have discussed before getting another opinion, personally speaking I think it is an excellent idea.Maybe Rafa feels comfortable with Dr Ruiz who has been treating him for many years, also being Spanish, his team said they are always looking for new treatments.Hopefully this new radio frequency treatment will work. in the short term as there is no cure for his foot, except surgery, which I feel is a radical move. I guess we will know in a week or so.

You are missing Tented point .All he is saying is there are other foot specialists at world renowned leading medical institutions that may have other solutions that could help alleviate his pain while playing. Nothing is wrong with a 2nd opinion.

You are missing my point too, if I were a doctor and Djokovic came in to get a 2nd opinion about something, I would secretly give him a little bit of gluten to decrease his performance by a little bit before he plays Nadal. :bye: Like I said if I were Nadal I would stick to the same doctor. :rose:

There is no "maybe" that Rafa feels comfortable with his doctor, but there are other doctors out there to consult. Maybe Dr. Ruiz Cotorro has suggested them, esp. in the event of surgery, and maybe they have nothing else to offer, ATM.

Look I am have been seeing my GP for over 30 years and I do Feel Comfortable with him, most patients I see feel the same way okay with me.it is also a Matter of Trust., so stop with the no 'maybe' that Rafa feels comfortable with his doctor how do you know that honestly??
We are not privy if Rafa's doctor has suggested to see other doctors.I know his team are always looking at new treatments
So you are just speculating. If you read my post I did say it was a good idea to get another opinion by the way???
Rafa's foot condition cannot be cured

I did. But like you said in a previous post it most likely doesn't apply to tennis fans (more specifically Big 3 fans), even the ones who are doctors... Nadal shouldn't take any chance, he found a doctor he can trust and he should stick to him. ;)

Rafa is going to stick with Ruiz Cotorro...that is a given. Taking another opinion would not be a betrayal. It's not the Mafia. And surely his doctor is paid enough to assuage insult.

I wonder if you’ve gone to too many KGB doctors who tried to jab you with a poisoned umbrella?

Thank goodness ( for his sake) you’re not Djokovic’s dentist.

No this is not foot news thankfully,

Apparently Rafa is building a new house in Porto Cristo, with an aquarium. ( I mean his friends are fishes :))
Also he has finally got pets :)
When Rafa is at the AO he always pays a visit to the Melbourne Aquarium

There has been a lot of talk that the injections used by Rafa was prohibited and he was doping? during the French Open, ho hum,
The World Anti Doping Agency (WADA) director general, Oliver Niggli, weighed in on the debate on Thursday, stating that the injections Nadal received in his foot are permitted by the IOC watchdog.

I saw an article earlier about some cyclist's comments. It's nonsense, athletes have been using anaesthetic injections for a long time. Not really sure why it has gathered so much attention in the media.

I read that too, on twitter it was mostly disgruntled Novak fans, who still cannot get over he lost to Rafa in the q/finals.So they took the low path claiming Rafa was doping

It's ridiculous isn't it, that some people could actually believe anaesthetic injections could improve performance :lol6:
