Nishikori is thru to the semifinals! Way to go. The Ferrer match should be very interesting.

First Japanese man in the top 10, so huge for him. Though, it's looks like they'll have to make him an honorary Spaniard, too. :clap

Front. This is a PG forum...

I've watch "martial arts" films since the 60's and don't remember anything that gross and brutal; seen them all I thought! :nono :puzzled

^ Check out Shogun Assassin (1980) or better still the Lone Wolf & Cub series the movie was based on. Yakuza's Law (1969) is particularly nasty even by today's standards.

^ Me too actually. Missed all the tennis this week as my wife's aunt was over from Moscow for a week and my mother in law was also over from London so we weren't home at times the matches were on. Kinda lost interest anyway with Federer and Djokovic missing from the draw but this should be a very good match hopefully.

^ That's a hard one to call. Nishikori is flying, and must be over the moon with his inauguration into the top 10. But Ferrer has been looking very sharp, and will have the crowd behind him. However, that doesn't seem to distract Kei. Nishikori will look to serve well, and shorten points. David will have to go bold, too, I think. Should be a war.

Hopefully the brittle Nishikori won't injure himself. Seems every time he's on a roll he gets sidelined same as Monfils.

He did call the trainer to have his back worked on in the 2nd, which seemed mostly about having an over-used body and time spent on court. For those who don't like dodgy MTO's, you should think about that one. ;)

I just don't like dodgy ones where there's no apparent movement issue before or after ;) And also ones that happen when the person in question is losing :D

Nice to see Nishikori updates every morning on the news here. He's quickly becoming a huge star in Japan. He's been overshadowed by baseball, soccer and golf stars but that may be over. Even had a couple of TV specials this year.
