Vika is playing really positively. No matter how this match ends she should take some positivity from it. She's getting that belief and fighting spirit back. She's coming in on Serena's second serve and I think she's really motivated to get back where she belongs. She needs a few tournaments with some decent draws and she'll gain some confidence to push through to the later rounds.

Just tuned in. Serena looks emotional and is likely prone to committing errors. Anything can happen in the next few games.

She's being a bit too hard on herself...

Well, that's a side affect of having that perfectionist mentality. 4-4. Let's see who cracks first

Either way its a really fun match. I only tuned in at the end of the second set until now. Vika came back from 3-0 which was kind of exciting and a lot of the last few games have gone to deuce on both of their serves. I've always loved matches between these two.

You mean Serena was up 3-0 in this set and lost the lead?

Ah come on. You don't have to put down another player just because you like Serena. Vika started the set with a really bad service game and she fixed it around the 4th game.

What does my comment have to do w/ putting someone down? I didn't see that part of the match so I had no idea what happened.

If my reading of your comment was incorrect I apologize.

You took what I said: Vika came back from 0-3 and you flipped it to sound like the only way Vika could have come back would be if Serena let it go. It's a way of saying everything is on Serena's racquet not the other player doing something right. It's a classic tactic of people on this forum who can't stand anyone but Serena being complimented when talking about a match involving her.

(Note: I am also a huge Serena fan just not a zealot)

I'm not a zealot. I would say that about any player who had a 3-0 lead and lost it no matter what their name was.

Right and I explained that Vika's service level dropped dramatically in her first service game which Serena took full advantage of and raced to an 3-0 lead over Vika. VIKA made up the deficit. SERENA did not "let it go."
