Yeah I'm done believing genie is going anywhere. This spiral isn't ending until she changes her mentality.

And not one article about her first round exit.

Is there one about Halep's early exit? She was a finalist last year and supposedly the next best thing on clay.

What do you want? She's #2, has won a couple large tourneys already! Ya can't win them all; even if #1! This was a tough draw for everyone, from the 1st round like Venus and Aza yesterday! The men are battling hard from day one as well! :cover :nono  :dodgy:

Kskate's point was there haven't been articles about Bouchard or Halep, vs. just Bouchard. In other words, not about the fact that Halep lost, but in terms of press coverage.

Halep is the most anonymous #2 in memory! Most people would pass her on the street without a sign around her neck! The men have had that happen on occasion; Haas, Stich, Ivanisevic, and a few others were in the same situation 20+ years ago! :p  :dodgy:

She is understandably determined to continue demonstrating the AO loss was a fluke -- Sloane happened to be in the right place, at the right time (with Serena injured), but that's it.

If Stephens could have beaten her again, she already would have. She's had several opportunities to do so, but has always failed.

There was a time when nobody would pass her, although she was not #2 at that time. ;)
