Davydenko failed to qualify for MD, sad to see that. some rumours say that he'll retire at the end of 2014, he'll be missed anyway

Also, I heard that this is the first Masters tournament that he is involuntarily missing.
I don't know whether it is true as a matter of fact. I too heard the rumors that he plans
to hang his hat sometime this year.

Anyway, his legacy may be cemented as the answer to the trivia question of
"who has the winning H2H against Rafa?", if he retires by the end of this year. :clap

Let me educate you: Davydenko is not the only player with a winning record against Nadal, so the trivia question itself is wrong, as well as the answer.

What makes Davy a trivia question is that he's the only active player with a winning record v. Nadal. But it's by far the largest sampling, and they didn't only play when Rafa was a baby. I'd say it's the best of the winning h2hs.

Paradorn Srichaphan was a very nice player to watch. Shame about his wrist injury that caused him to retire. Back when Basel used to have a red carpet court.
