Wrist seems almost fine, but I wonder what kind of injuries did Ralph had today considering that he lost to his pigeon. I don't think he lost when healthy.
His neighbor's dog died, and Rafa always referred to that dog as "my second son" (even though he doesn't have a first son), so he was emotionally scarred. I heard that has a history of screwing up people's clay seasons. That, and old players on PED's.
One thing you can bet on, Rafa attended that dogs funeral...
Lame and bad taste to make jokes over people who died.
But it's perfectly fine to use people's death as an excuse two months after the fact, especially when their deaths didn't prevent a player from reaching a GS final. I guess you only get visions of your dead loved one before a second serve on match point, or while attempting to finish a put away volley close to the net and you can't control your footwork.
