Well done Fils 36 63 64 taking out the No 1 seed Zverev, as I mentioned before his ROS was a highlight in his game, and he makes the QFs in Miami he will face Mensik in the QFs tomorrow
Well we didnt need Fritz after all :)
BTW Sinner will remain No 1 in the ATP race rankings, into April, despite having played One tournament this year.Noone has caught his 2000 points

Just when it looks like Sascha is working out of his post-AO hangover, he goes out in the R16. Oh well. I think for him, right now, it is only about the Slams.

It will be interesting to see how he comes back from his ban - his first real test during his reign of dominance. I think it should be underscored just how good he's been playing, especially going back to Cincinnati of last year. Since then:

  • He's won all five big tournaments he's played in, including both Slams, two Masters, and the Tour Finals
  • He's won 7 out of 8 tournaments he's played in, including the very competitive Six Kings exhibition and the Davis Cup finals
  • During that span, he's 39-1, his only loss being to Alcaraz in in the Beijing final (meaning, he hasn't lost a match since October 2, and has been 24-0 since).
  • During that span, he's lost only 11 sets, winning 88.
(all of the above includes Six Kings)

Grigor through. That was quite an intense last few games (only watched those). had a bit of a Slam final vibe. Grigor twisted his ankle in the tiebreak, but pulled through. The crowd was really for him.

Dangerous is just a headcase. Dimi was on fumes and barely moving. This is the difference between a top 25 ranking and a top 15.

Neither will beat Djoke in the SF anyway.

we talked about a Big Four.
So much interesting stuff to discuss in your post, but I am a petty soul, so I will just say that I am not part of that "we". But maybe in days where I was feeling pretty generous I might have used big 3.5.

Very impressive & courageous effort by Grigor! He was lit. running on fumes; totally out of gas! Cerundolo's gonna remember blowing this! :-)2

Seeing that the womens match Pegula v Raducanu has gone to 3 sets,
Tennis channel has shown that Korda and Djokovic teams are talking to each other
I mean at this point you have been waiting all day and you get tomorrow off

Blake will have to answer for that. They could have put Zed/Fils on an outer court last night or put them on one today. Extremely bad scheduling and now thay will have the exact same scenario tomorrow by adding an additional match on stadium court. Someone needs to move, It will probably be Babycakes relegated to an outer court

At least they decided to play by the rule that was enforced regarding late night matches starting at 11pm
The match between Djokovic will be the 3rd match from 1pm
All of tonights ticket holders can purchase a ticket for tomorrow afternoon, session 19 for $10
