Haven't felt good about this match at all. It's always felt like he was just hanging in there

I cringe every time the announcers say he is a great closer. They just love to jinx it.

Lol! Roger makes a fool out of me. Still... it's not been impressive so far this week

Carol, you get into these squabbles again and again. I can't make a comment about Rafa without you getting upset and taking offense. And I see this played out with numerous other posters. Own it.

You can make a reasonable comments about Rafa, we (his fans) have criticized him many times but about you have said comparing him to Ferru and about he has to beat Roger and also he has not beaten Novak and Muzz IMO it has been out of context so I gave you my answer and I don't think I'm wrong, just tell me why and with facts, that's all

Kieran's greatest t post was to DarthFed,

He wrote, Darth , "You are an idiot when it comes to Nadal"

His serving has been terrible this week. And the better players are exposing it

Yeah his serving actually has been off all year, making what he's done even more impressive. Today he played great until the middle of the second, Berd did well to hang in there and has taken advantage when Fed's play dipped

Something about Miami makes Roger flaky these days. I just don't feel the same assurance about his play in this tournament, but it's mighty impressive that he's making his way through so comfortably
Could be the "clubbing." Miami's a party town. This got complicated. Tie-break it is.

How many double faults today? He's played entire tournaments with fewer dbs!

This feels like a match he will lose no matter what. He could get up 6-3 and won't finish it

I actually wouldn't mind if Roger loses this, but he'll probably do it to spite me. Go and rest old man

AP, you're not helping the fact that Carol takes offense about any non-glowing comments aobut Nadal, and inevitably blames it on Federer fans. I know we all like to take sides and protect our own, but it also enables her. Federer fans don't protect or defend Front in the same way, in my view.

Carol, I already said my piece: you didn't really understand what I said, instead interpreting it as this assault on Rafa. I find it impossible to have a reasonable conversation with you about Rafa, because you do this, again and again.

But I'll give it another shot. My point about Nadal is that of the elite, he's only played Roger and lost twice. We don't know how he'll match up against Andy and Novak because he hasn't played them this year. Again, we're not talking about 2013 - we're talking about now.

As for the Ferrer comment, you missed the subtlety and instead went for outrage. I am not saying he is an equal player to Ferrer, or even that he WILL be the new Ferrer, but that he COULD end up in that ROLE - that is, losing most of the time to the elite but beating everyone else. Again, I am not predicting this, but speculating. Until we see how he matches up against Andy and Novak--and if he can do better against Rafa--it remains an open question.

His hitting his shots short, he's going for too much spin and not flattening out his shots. I can't understand why through slower air you would do that.. Anyway.. match point
