Got lots of wildcards into tournaments, but never really did anything. I think people are not that excited anymore because it's been a long time without any real breakthrough.the AntiPusher said:Seems like everyone else victories gets mentions but his..that's all I am saying..but Isner doesn't get too much love either

I agree somewhat..but its always been that way about DYjr..he defeated Murray at IW about 3years ago not a lot of mention..i will let it go

Well.. I was hoping that incident went unnoticed :snicker..
Yeah,.Donald was a bit cranky today..I seen all players , especially Murray be a bit sully to the umpire...just a bad day at the office..all players have em..this shouldn't take away from the fact he has played some inspired tennis and people should pay attention

The Donald usually plays well at the US based tourneys. He doesn't fair so well on the road. That being said, he's a little like the boy who cried wolf. He'll make a little run here or there and then drop off the planet for the rest of the season. I think people are a little tired of his false starts. And to address another point of contention, it was talked about heavily at the time when he beat Muzz, but then he didn't really do much after that so it was another false start.
3 or 6 years ago..who cares.. DYJr doesn't have top 20 type of talent..mid 40s will be his peak..a few surprises here and there but is a real journey man..he is very talented but not as discipline to advance higher in his careerherios said:the AntiPusher said:mightyjeditribble said:There was quite a bit of hype about Dyjr when he transitioned to the tour from juniors. Just for the record, DYj win over Murray was 6 years ago and not 3. And for long time afterwards he had achieved nothing. Back then he was 21y old, now he is 27. Even if he will peak late in his career, I cannot foresee more than a rise into the 20-30 range somewhere.
They just keep trotting that line out over and over.I do wish these commentators would stop saying Federer is playing the best tennis of his career! I mean... seriously!
