It seems both players have come back to the earth, Nadal because was in Mars and Kolsch on the clouds

I would still like him take a few more rips on his cc backhand..the dtl forehand is quite dialed in yet , imo..

He is not playing a perfect match, still doing some silly errors, a brilliant point and right after a ptttfff point but at least he is doing better than that #%^\ set, I've never has seen him playing so bad. Sometimes I don't understand him too much why those changes

What I like of Kolsch and others few players which are no great but I consider them dangerous is because they like to take all the risk and sometimes works well and more when they take the opponent by surprise or a little bit off

No, that does not describe Kolhly's style of play. He is decent. If you say that about Brown I would agree with you.

He is a very decent player but not great, otherwise he would have more important titles but he is brave taking a lot of risk which not always works well

Everybody knows he is not a great player. But, you are mischaracterizing his game as being a risky one. That is just not the case. He constructs points well and does not redline.

The last set and a half was the Rafa who took out Dimitrov..it's the only way he can when on a hardcourt, imo..Vamos.

Good come back by Rafa. The reason for the Bagel must be poor serving on Rafa's part (did not see it),

Rafa did not even face a break point in second and third sets.

Maybe I need to explain better what I'm trying to say. He is a very good player, he can construcs points well but besides that he ALSO takes a risk which not many players do and that's why I like him

At least Kohly got on board.

Koly had upset wins against Isner at USO three years in a row and all in third round.

that's not an upset. Isner is just a poor man's Ivo servebot.

By the way, I think Nadal needed those carbs from that donut to play better. :snicker

I don't think it's fatigue, he's just streaky. Sometimes he's very good most of the time he's nothing.
He's a perfectly fine journeyman. I'd actually call him solid, within his talents. Anyway, Rafa started uncharacteristically sluggish, for whatever reason, and improved each set.

No not that. Kohly was playing way too loosely (that is in a highly relaxed manner) in the second set. Bare minimum he should have forced to Rafa to serve out the second set. Then, at least he would have had the advantage of going first in third set.

Kolsch is a very good and dangerous player but besides that he takes all the risk which sometimes works well but not always depending how his opponent plays too. Rafa's serve in the first set was awful

Rafa lost only two points on serve in the third set. First serve winning % was 90 and second serve winning percentage was 100.

It is unbelievable how much he upped his serve in second and third sets.

Moronic scheduling. They put RF vs. JMDP in the day :cry

Well, wasn't moronic IW schedule when Federer always was playing at night while others players were coocking under the sun?

I was calling it Moronic just because I won't be able to watch it. But, I do think the day time scheduling will only favor Fed as slow courts are even slower in the night.
