Looks like Kohly is beginning to realize what he is about to do. Goes down a break unnecessarily.

If it goes to three sets, I guarantee that Rafa will win.

Even losing the set 6-0 this is Kohlschreiber, I like him but he's streaky at best, not a danger for Rafa here. He will have to pick it up if he faces Sock and Kei

I agree, with both. Kohly was destined to come down to Earth, and Rafa had to play better than that first set. Also, the inevitable breakdown of the one-hander.

Rafa upped his serve big time. He won 72% of first serves and 92% second serves in second set. Basically, he lost just one point in second serve.

Kohly needs to realize that nobody is going to give it to him. He needs to go out and grab the win. It is still possible though not probable.

Good play by both players on that point. Before the volley, it was great get by Kohly coming all the way from other end.

However, I did watch Kei earlier today, and he struggled a lot on serve.

I would still like him take a few more rips on his cc backhand..the dtl forehand isn't quite dialed in yet , imo..

I love how you threw in the last part. If it was inevitable it would've happened from the start. Kohli's backhand is pretty average, not a big accomplishment to break it down

Now, writing is on the wall for Kohly. Wasted a beautiful opportunity by not keeping the pressure on in the second set.

What is the return policy on Bagels? It looks like Rafa want to return it fast so that he can get his money back. :)

No, you wear it down. He's not tall, and if he can't keep taking the ball early, his shoulder is going to get tired. And a lot of his shots have gotten tired since the first set.

What I like of Kolsch and others few players which are no great but I consider them dangerous is because they like to take all the risk and sometimes works well and more when they take the opponent by surprise or a little bit off

At least Kohly got on board.

Koly had upset wins against Isner at USO three years in a row and all in third round.

I don't think it's fatigue, he's just streaky. Sometimes he's very good most of the time he's nothing.
