Everyone keeps saying, (by which I mostly mean commentators,) that Djokovic has no weaknesses. Another dumped drop shot. His hands are not always the softest. Young Edmund is making a decent show, anyway.

That was his first match in completely different conditions, so he will need to adjust this shot and that. That's what commentators said too "excusing" his misses on the net.

So what is this? Fedal kaput, Wawrinka too? And what about equality? Only JJ fell off on the other side.

I watched the first set of Nadal match adn they both played well and interesting game especially considering the strong wind. Then I was surprised later to see that Rafa had to retire (was that heat, injury or stomach flu?), but kudos to young Bosnian dude Joom-hur.

Apparently, dizziness and vomiting. Several players been struggling out there.

Isner sent his marching orders by qualifier Tim Smyczek 6-2 2-6 7-6.

Seeds dropping like flies.
Funny facts : Isner has played 14 matches this season : 18 tie-breaks. He won 9, lost 9 but lost 4/4 in decisive sets. Most funny he lost 3 times without losing his serve during the match (Pella, Lajovic, Nishikori). :)

Interesting bert. You'd probably expect a better ratio with his serving prowess.

Isner had 2 double faults in the last few services in that tiebreak. It must be mental with him and deciding tiebreaks.

Happy Easter to all that celebrate it.

It is sad to see players retiring due to illness. It is always hot and humid in Miami (most of the time) but it seems like there is a virus or something going on, on top of weather conditions. Even Marcos seemed under the weather but managed to finish his match vs Nick.

Poor Delpo, I hated seeing a trainer checking his left wrist during his one and only match in Miami. Apparently his rehab is not over and he posted a statement on his FB page that he needs to be patient with his come back.

Hey Billie, Happy Easter.

Yeah, Delpo's ongoing issues are a concern. Maybe he is done... but I really hope not. He's a big name on the circuit and I think pretty much every tennis fan on the planet is hoping for him to return to full health... doesn't look good at the moment though.

Murray is through, beating Istomin in straight sets.

Bit of a hullaballoo about wrong balls being used at one point in the match.

Yeah, somehow one of ladies' balls ended up with Andy. It must have known that he is such a feminine supporter.;)

Istomin had some chances in the 2nd set and Andy was getting frustrated. But he righted the ship and broke for the match.

Happy Easter Billie and everyone!
I live in Miami, today I had to work and I remember early at morning was already too hot, later around 12 pm I had to walk one street to take some coffee and I was thinking about what a horrible day has to be for the players to play with that heat and strong humidity and look what happened to some of them.....sad
And for tomorrow doesn't seem to be any change

Hi Carol....yeah those are terrible conditions. Probably more the humidity combined with heat. Let's hope they get on with tennis without much drama tomorrow, but who knows. Even the players from last night and tonight were sweating like crazy from all the humidity.

Did you go and see any matches or are you planning on going?
