I'm quite proud of both players! This has been their year; Kecmanović taking Novak's spot in the AO draw and getting to the 4th round and Fritz winning his 1st Masters event last week! Love the Serb's "slice" backhand! That was what I preferred to do unless passing shot was needed! I can watch this match all night long for some reason! They're playing as we like to coin the phrase, "playing within themselves!" It's not constant overplaying of shots; well not too much of it! Both rankings going up fast! :face-with-hand-over-mouth: :astonished-face::face-with-tears-of-joy::yawningface:
Yes I must say I have been impressed with Kecmanovic form so far this year

We will get a rematch between a Spanish player and a Serbian player in the 2022 Miami Open Quarterfinal.

Remember, there was a match between a Spanish player and a Serbian player in the 2007 Miami Open Quarterfinal.

The Men’s Quarterfinals matches are set:

Medvedev vs. Hurkacz
Alcaraz vs. Kecmanovic
Sinner vs. Francisco Cerundolo
Ruud vs. Zverev

Personally, I would like to see a Medvedev/Alcaraz and Sinner/Zverev semifinal matches on Friday.

The battle between the mid-20s players against the future, young and upcoming players on a M1000 level tournament

If Medvedev wins this QTRS he goes back to # 1.
Alcaraz , what an enviable place to be in his tennis life, seemingly improving with each tournament, though It's hard to be believe he's 6'
Cerundolo; Cinderella run for him, but this really should be a slam dunk for Sinner,
Ruud for being #8 in the world has relatively few big wins ( Alcaraz at age 18 already has something like triple the number of wins over top 15 players).would love to see him finally get one on a bigger stage, but this is the type of player that usually is in Zverev's wheelhouse to beat routinely
