Does anyone know why Kohlschreiber and Seppi are skipping this event? Are they injured?

Thiem comes through in 3 over Delicious :clap

Meanwhile, Stan is stinking it up against Berlocq. Into an opening TB where he's made a plethora of errors :cover

Berlocq forces the issue at net and takes the opening TB 11-9

It can't be another opening-match-loss for Wawrinka could it? That would be bad.

The only way Almagro will ever beat Rafa is armed with a machine gun. :nono

Almagro has great weapons, but a tendency to fall apart. And he did, in the 2nd set. Nadal, however, looks good. Obviously, movement isn't an issue, given the ankle roll the other day. And he does handle wind better than most.

Almagro is not moving well. He is flat footed most of the time. Those little adjustment steps that players make, Magro has none of tem. Maybe it is the foot thing still...

That's a good point. However, when he gets discouraged, he can be his own worst enemy.

Rafa is also a great wind player..something that is often overlooked.
